    hi, i get on ave about 30 mpg and even up to 35 mpg on long motoway travels, which gives me about 330 miles to a tank. if it goes up to 60 mpg then i think it is not showing true, as that would be very high, great but very high.

    hmm..well the garage i bought it off in May said they'd service it before selling, so when i told them i was interested he called me a few days later and said it was all done. so about 7 weeks ago i believe...could be worth trying. cheers

    Hi guys.. :( just spent 3 hours in an AA truck with the Rado on the back. :( :( -a sorry sight. Left York this morning and after about an hour the oil pressure light started flashing and beeping, so i stopped and topped up the level, which seemed fine anyway. When i started it again it was all fine for about 5 min and then came on again, but didn't stay on ..just for a few seconds. Then for the next half mile it it came on and off for just one or two flashes. i stopped and let it all cool down, and levels were all ok..1 min down the road it started and i called it a day and called the AA. So i presume there is a loss of oil pressure..but no visible leaks..oil temp was 100-108 'c as normal..water temp was normal so it didn't seem like it was over heating. Any ideas guys? Or a good garage near Reading which can have a look?

  10. yeah..lump is smooth and so seems to be tuned pretty well. all clocks and displays are off/blank with ignition off, put key in and turn and only total miles are recorded, all the rest is re-set to big ol' 0!! mebe just a fuse or summin simple like that..it worked fine for the first day, then the next morning all was reset...... anyway....mebe i'll just keep her polished and shiny as not much dough to throw at it at the mo. gonna look around for some nice tasty wheels too..got 15" s. will look into a chip, but everyone i have asked has them for 16v models, not my simple 8v :(
  11. ye! that's the prob, MFA 2 wipes each time i take the ignition key out..and it shouldn't do so (unless i push the button over to 0 on the stalk)..that's what is confusing, it's as if the 'temporary memory' which remembers that last readings of previous journies.. doesnt' remember, as the trip counter (reading in right hand display under the total miles of the car) aslo wipes everytime. ya follow?
  12. yup, it is kinda weird, and a bit sluggish i guess, but still a very smooth engine, pulls through nicely. It is my first C so i can't really compare it to anything else, and is good for cruising and chillin'. Not the greatest amount of power, but still good enough to show up a few flashy hatchbacks off the lights. MPG is about 26-30 ish on most journeys, used daily for work etc.. the problems i have id the MFA resets after every journey, as does the milometer in the right hand display..but not the total miles of the car. so it's like having two MFA 1's, and also i have had to change the fuel pump relay 2 days after getting the car, simple enough. any suggestions for any performance enhancements? chips or the like??
  13. Hi guys.. does anyone out there have an automatic rado? i have a 8v, 2.0L auto and would be interested to see who else has one, and any tips/tricks as i am new to the rados, had mine about 2 weeks now. It's totally standard and so any mod suggestions for performance would be cool.. 8)

  16. well when i had problems starting the engine turned over but didn't fire up. had spark and fuel and compression but no luck. When the AA came out and he reconed it was the fuel pump relay, as it was flooding the bores. so i got a new one and the problem has now come back a few days later..if you turn it over with the relay out it fires witht the petrol in the bores and you need to stick the relay in quickly to work the pump. so any ideas why anyone?
  17. so , had one blown fuse which is fixed but mfa is still resetting itself to 0 everytime turn on the ignition- MFA 1 should do so but MFA 2 does as well, and main tachometer. Another thing now is when i take the key out of the ignition, after about 10 seconds there are 4 beeps..i presume this is from the Sigma alarm fitted, but i didn't notice this when i test drove the car before buying.. as for the rear light, the cluster is fine as i have tested it off the car and all lights work, so it is a problem with power to the cluster..but the left hand cluster is all fine, and the loom looks intact..so a bit confusing..fuses are fine..who knows... i also had the AA out today as the car wouldn;t fire up..it turned over fine just didn't catch. after some tweeking we figured it was the fuel pump relay, which got hot by the time i got home and when i went to start the car the same problem occured..is it something as simple as replacing the relay?? any help appreciated as i am just learning things about the corrado..feel like i jumped in the deep end a bit..but that's all good as long as it i sstuff i can fix myself..and not a major car problem.

Hi, i just picked up my new '94 Corrado 8v on Wednesday, and i love it. but since lastnight it has behaved in a wierd way. i set the trip counter to 0 when i left the garage weds am, and drove around for a boit and did about 120 miles since. When i got in the car this morning, i noticed all the tirps ahd been zero'd, on both the MFA and the odometer under the total milage. i thought this a bit odd, and also now when i lock the car with the alarm button, it goes off ater about 20 seconds of activation or locking the doors using the central remote locking. i think it is some kind of electrical fault, as the alarm activates itself, and the displays zero..i also noticed the one of the rear lights was out, and tried to put ina new bulb which didn't help...could it all be contected somehow? a dodgy connection or circuit ?? It has a Sigma M-series alarm with 2 button fobs. a bit dissappointing after owning the car for about 2 days, but i can live with it.. thanks, Filski.
