  1. I own a white Corrado myself and there's only 1 thing that has to been done on white... KEEP IT CLEAN !!.... the cleaner and shinier it is, the better it looks... the black parts have to bee deep black and shiny, then a white corrado really rules i think... (i had the choise to buy a silver grey, metallic green, metallic black, or the white one)
  2. You all know them i suppose, the shift light which comes with the big rev. counters, i don't really like a big rev. counter for a corrado, but i do really want a shift light.. this is the idea: there are places left in the dashboard for led's, just beneath the rev. counter... i want to put in 2 lights there, 1 for maximum torque, 1 for the maximum revs to shift at the right moment.. at the second led i want to connect a buzzer.. now i only have 1 problem left: how do i build a print for this ? like, what components would i need, how should i build a print (or let build if it's a difficult one, i can't make a real print myself, just pin on with the prints with holes in them) etc. etc. any ideas ?

    Which grill?

not everything should be in car color i think, or that might be because mine is white.. this one is MATTIG and costs about 100 euro (dunno how much pounds that is) the eyebrow is KAMEI and costs allso about 100 euro i think the mattig grille isn't really easy to paint, but i just HAD TO ;) only not in car color, but antracite black metallic... just for the little bit difference with the rest home spraying isn't as tough as everyone thinks ;)
  4. After the painting and lacking you should allways polish the part that has been sprayed
  5. I have a problem with my electric windows... sometimes the open/close button in the left door doesn't work.. .at the same time, the button in the right door doesn't work even.. (LHD) because i have a car alarm with comfort close, i normally don't look if i have closed the windows, because it should close all automaticly... now is my question: is it normal that if there is a loose contact in the switch in the drivers door, the passegners door doesn't work either ??? does the main unit power off when something is wrong... or where should i look... i don't really like my corrado unclosed on a parking
  6. just look at the car and the skirts, forget the ugly antenna (which is even a fake one, the antenna sticks trough the finn)
  7. ohw i just saw that je-design allso has new skirts for the corrado
  8. jup they are definitily for the corrado, allso for golf mk2 and some more... i'll ask in the dutch forum for some pictures of these skirts... (i have seen some mounted and they look great) the lumma sideskirts are now only available without the hole for the gitter.
  9. are these the skirts you're looking for ? you'll find them at http://www.sanspeed.nl
  10. you can make this as high as you want off course, i have measured the height with... hold on..... a bunch of cd boxes... just to get the good height... a lot of tape on top of it so it would stick to the tunnel.... 9-10 cm is good for me, even when shifting...
  11. Mounting white dials Underneath you see a couple of images of white dials for the volkswagen Corrado. The dials i have mounted, are first modified with a photoshop look-a-like program, this way you can put in your own taste ;) (allways remember that i have the dash of a left hand drive) Left: the “old” dials still in the dash Right: remove panel to get to the screw. Left: remove screws of the front panel just above the rpm counter and the fuel gauge. Right: Remove the screw next to the dial housing Left: thats how it looks when you have removed the dial housing (there is 1 connector, 1 speedometer cable and 1 vacuum hose at the early type dashboard) To remove the speedometer cable just press the clips on the side of the connector and pull it straight off. Left: remove the front panel from the dial gauge. ( 2 screws at the sides of the housing) Right: Remove the pointing needles, it’s not allways real easy to remove them, so there is a solution: the 2 pionting needles of the fuel and temp. Gauge are best to pull of straight. The needle of the speedometer and the rev. Counter don’t really need to be removed, on your new dial you should make a cut for about 1cm to the left and 1 cm to the right of the hole where the axle comes through, then just lift the needle a little and shuffle the new dial over the needle. When you are sure you want to remove the needle of the speedo meter you should lift the needle over the little stick where the needle is in rest position and then let it go where it wants.. mark the spot that the needle is pointing. On the new dials you mark the same spot.. that way you are sure the speed that is shown is correct. Left: the needles of the fuel, temp, and speedometer are removed succesfully.. Right.. Do i need to give a comment to this one ? (The other part shown lower is about the changing of the lightning to NEON lightning) effect without neon lighting: effect with neon lighting:
  12. no problem... but i think i'll need your help for the real technical stuff.. so msn it is
  13. i don't think placing a link will be a problem ;)
  14. andi, is it okay if i put your dials on my site for download ??? i get much requests (allso in the netherlands) for mph dials... maybe i can put them in canadese version now i know how the layout exactly should be (the canadian version has a mix of km/h and mph)
  15. ohw i understood it wrong.. well the dials are about the same, the only thing that can be different is the rev counter, with a 16v it goes up to 8000 i believe... the rest is the same... just cut out the part where your lcd or km counter is Edit: Dials attached for G60Jet on behalf of Hans --Andi
  16. and another one :) guys... every one who uses it puts a picture of the mounted dials in this topic, okay ?
  17. andy i'll put you in my msn messegner, then i can send you one with miles... i've allso downloaded it somewhere, so i don't know if the face is 100% correct, but it's worth a try i think
  18. at night it look even cooler when you put in neon lights :)
  19. that a picture of a car says inpro doesn't mean anything.... rieger puts its name on a lumma, seidl etc. bodykit..
  20. i have one, or more if you want, but they are all in km/h and the fuel in litres so you might have to change something hey... you can't say the quality is too low :D Edit - I attached the image, so it's thumbnailed, rather than showing it inline. --Andi
  21. everyone smashed with silence ??? or is no one really interrested in an armrest ?
  22. i've been struggling with this idea for a while, i allready tried an armrest from a jetta and a escort, but just as i tought.. no possibility to get this nicely fitted in the corrado.. i'd have to drill holes in the tunnel, and drilling holes is the last thing i want to do in my corrado  but i have to honest, it isn't totally my own idea, i got the inspiration to build it myself from 2 fellow corrado drivers in the netherlands, who both have built one.. totally differentl.. and mine should be the best of both gathered together, and with an compartment to put some stuff in :) these are the armrests from Stephane and Berry: (with on the background my alpine white corrado) ;) (wiseguys who think our steering wheel is on the wrong side, just mirror the picture)
  23. (the drawings in de zip file are of better quality so it easier to read)
  24. Hey Guys.. i can't hold you all from the fact that i like to do things for my corrado myself.. now i got the idea to build a middle armrest in front to drive as relaxing as possible :) inside the armrest i think of making a little box where a set of sunglasses can be put in, or the remote of the ice system ... or.......... so i thought the model looked quite nice... so i have made work drawings for the armrest.. the material to use is 9 mm mdf... and a piece of metal for the lower part that clamps over the tunnel. this is what the drawings are like :) that's the front page, now the actual drawing of each piece: this is only an example of a work drawing, every dimension is given so allmost anyone could build this armrest... the dimensions are in mm's (1 inch equals 25.4 mm) to get all the drawings collect it from my homepage http://www.corrado-g60.tk or click here - http://members.lycos.nl/nl2han/corradotips/armsteun/armsteun.zip (570 kb)
