Hi Andy Like the heater controls. :thumb right: To get the light more even would clear rubber tubing to replace the optic spider around the rear of the dials help? You could then insert the LEDs into either end of the tubing.

About to fit a similar set to my CLK and had a look for Corrado ones. Sure enough someone does them. Would be a nice addition to the interior I think - might even get a set for my VR6. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 93451&rd=1

The first two are easily my favourites though I've never been able to choose between the two. The last photo of mine, though not a favourite, is fairly special personally because AmD used it for their Corrado page.

Biggerbigben - Golf sold.. another new project!

Woohoo!! I like where that interior is going. I am currently pissing myself and giggling like a school boy. I love the fact there are people like you, Renshaw and Lee around. Good work! :notworthy: -
Yeah possibly someone else has posted this info before as I haven't been on here for months. Did do a quick search and couldn't find any posts though. They aren't cheap but £1000 doesn't seem too bad for a serious looking mod. I'm sure someone with decent engineering training could do them for less though.

Merry Christmas all, Haven't been on here for ages but was just passing time at work and found this.... http://www.lsd-doors.de/index_e.php So who's going to do it then?!?!!!! :-P

Yeah detaching the battery won't work at the alarm has its own battery backup. It has the hidden pad but I'm buggered if I can find the documentation anywhere... arse. Still its stopped now - I suspect the battery backup has now died. New battery time and a set of ear defenders tomorrow then! :-P Thanks for the replies - much appreciated.

Cars been laid up for about 2 months with the alarm enabled but today the battery is dead and the alarms going off. Anyone know how to silence the siren on a Sigma? I used to be able to silence the old system with a key. Cheers

Ah I see you've finally got some taste Asim.....  -
I've used Greenlight for about 5 years now on the VR6. Always been very good and the staff courteous though like others have not claimed from them but I get the impression they'd be fine as whenever I've asked for a change to the policy or queried something they come back with the answer and follow up very quickly. Don't know whether he still does but I understood Greenlight was started by a member of Club VR6. Haven't had any issues myself with high excesses and you can choose anything from £100 to £350 I think. Mines £100 and I thats not high IMO. Another company I used with a modified car was Bell Direct on my Hartge 325i Touring. They were very reasonable from what I remember and were no problems when I had to claim when the car was written off. Paid out only £500 less than what I bought the car for a year previous too. I did have a problem with them when I was banned though. They maintained I hadn't told them so my premium went from £510 FC to £1400 FC. In other words "go away we don't want your business". Greenlight by comparison on the VR6 went from £685 to £725 but back down to £675 after I'd got a competitive quote from Adrian Flux. :) HTH

Do what most others do in your situation. Buy another car to replace the VR6 then never get around to selling the VR.

Whats the fastest you have ever been in your Corrado?
kieron replied to surfer.vr6's topic in General Car Chat
A 6 month ban plus £450 fine but strangley no points. Could have been a lot worse had I of been caught a few minutes earlier when doing 160mph (well 160mph on the clock and thats the only guide I have) so I took it on the chin. -
I wouldn't mind a blast down to see you all. VR needs the cobwebs dusting off it...

kieron replied to surfer.vr6's topic in General Car Chat
Hmm this topic smacks of "my knob is bigger than yours" but.... When the VR had 268 cams, VSR etc, etc, etc. it was off the clock and still pulling. When slowing down I shot past an unmarked cop Subaru at over 140mph. He caught me slowing down at an average 130mph over the mile or whatever distance it is they measure. -
It has apparantly been on axle stands for a couple of years and though his father isn't actively looking to sell it he would sell it. Its been up for sale in the past and most people that have come along believe its just a Caddy with a GTi body kit and engine swap and walk away even though he's shown them the manual. Personally I think the sticking point might be the price. For a split second I was considering taking a look as I've always liked Caddys no matter how uncomfortable and noisey they are. IMO the price is bordering on delusional despite the fact its 1 owner from new and "mint". Even on the first set of tyres! £7000 is the asking price.

Bloody geeks everywhere all wearing their sandles and cheese cloth shirts. Urrgh! :-P Err.... I'm an IT Specialist for IBM too! Just moving to Hursley as it happens.

The only way to "properly" style a Corrado is to lower it very slightly and fit BBS RCs.... Paintwork on the red C is good but I do like that silver/grey C a lot - shame about the wheels tho...

Afternoon all, Any Caddy nuts out there? Given space I'd love one myself. Anyway was chatting to a guy at work I've known for a while and out of the blue I find out his dad has a VW Caddy Sport. Its a factory standard VW Caddy Sport with the exception of the wooden load bay cover. It has the same engine as a MK1 Golf GTi although its believed VW detuned it a little and also fitted a lower ratio gearbox. Its understood only 750 of these cars were made and his parents have owned this one from new. Does anyone know a Caddy website or know much about caddys themselves? Specifically how rare is the Sport?

Looking good Mr Brookes! Quite annoyed I never got around to fitting the Turn2 CAI. Glad your happy with the sports cat and your comment "The sports cat has definitely freed up some ponies, the engine just fells like it breathes more, Similar effect to one of those vic's stick's up ya nose!" is spot on. Got used to the popping and crackling yet? BTW, for what its worth your car should be pushing past the 200bhp mark with that Sports Cat now. -
*cough* ugly Schricks..... :-P When I had my Schrick fitted I was toying the the idea of taking a bit of that spar out then welding in a flat bit of metal to tidy up the cut. It would look better if it could be beaten flatter rather than cut IMO. Mine was cut but I wish I'd tried other options.
