My computer is showing overall average 20mpg on 1.8 16v, I travel around 30 miles per day, just under 10 around town, and rest is dual carriageway, I am driving very average, not flooring it much at all.. I'm sure I'm using alot more than I should. how does the computer work out the mpg, I def need to get mine set up. Really really trying to save fuel I can get a max 26 mpg, on the same route I could push 40 out of my old golf GTI 1.8 20v T

If the control unit is f*cked, will it still work off switch ? I just want to eliminate that problem..

I've tried pulling it out, pushing it in, turning it, used pliers, but the manual winder will not budge...! any thoughts ?

Yep, you need the same one as me. if anyone has a spare one we can test, please can we do a round trip postage with it!!!!!

Hey matey, the unit you lent me is different to the one on mine as per pics below Yours has A at the end of part no. mine has B. so didn't really get anywhere. but I have taken a copy of your book, that is real helpful, and if I can get the right part I'll have another go.. has anyone got a spare B with the spades below that I can borrow? Thanks mate, I'll get my g/f to take yr bits back to work and then we'll go from there. Thanks again

Tried winding the spoiler up manualy while on my lunch break, but the knob would not budge? should it?

Make sure its warm, even stick some heaters in yr garage, or wherever yr doing it, and try to avoid dusty areas

I done an old set of RS wheels using just spray cans, polished the flat and did the inners with dark met grey and lots of laquer, never came off and looked real nice, I took my time and made sure all the prep work was good

Thats miles away !! looks good though, but really will it make that much difference on a 16v going there or having it set up locally ?

Well took the tensioner off, it feels a little rough when spinning it.. then I didn't know what to do, so I put it back on, and funny enough the noise is still there ! where do i get a new one? how much are they !

Love the borbet's and the rl's, both looking real nice. I must admit most cars I like to try and keep standard wheels, but the standard corrado ones dont do it for me ! I still have these wheels is the garage MIMs that were on my old clipper below.. anyone think they'll look ok on the corrado? gonna refurb them first though. Please excuse the non corrado pics !!!

Exactly, you can get faster cars for cheaper, but nowadays I have to find a nice balance between performance and consumption. Consumption never bothered me before when i only lived down the road from work. Although I imagine stock G60's aren't bad on fuel are they?

I think your def right there, I am pleasently surprised at how solid and quiet the C feels, even with the big exhaust its got !

Interesting, not to keen on moddifying anymore though, wouldn't mind a good set up and the warm up thingy done.. where is this Stealth.. what do they charge?
