Worst thing is once I'd got my setup sorted before the race I was running consistant 1:34/35s. After the sudden loss of grip after about the 5th lap I thought I'd try again when the race was finished. Run the 15 laps again with the same settings & had no grip loss & was again running 1:34s clean with no penalties. Weird. But how did Hayes manage a 1:32? I've tried everything, but couldn't get higher that a 1:34.2. Impressive.

Thought I was gonna do well on this track tonight :bad-words: lol. Was running well, closing up on Kris in the opening laps but suddenly lost grip & things just started getting worse from there in. I don't know if it was me that was lagging, but when I was right up on Swiftkid he kept floating about, disappearing then popping up with my nose right up his arse :camp: resulting in me having to slam the anchors on & pull out to avoid a collision. Same thing happened with Alex but we know the result of that!! Hoping for a better result next week if I can keep away from Alex :lol:

I'm happy to leave it until next Tuesday if that works for everyone. If not, only night I can't do is Friday.

Don't worry you haven't missed anything, we decided to leave it 'til next week. So plenty of time to get a good setup.

Gutted I missed it. Managed to get a really good setup for this track as well. The Datsun racing is ace ain't it?! Although it's a nightmare trying to control using a wheel & pedals, end up all over the place.

Sorry for missing the race tonight. The missus has only just got in from work (9.30pm) having left at 4.45. The weather is that bad here, people just abandoning their cars everywhere. So I had to get the kids sorted for bed. How'd it go?

As I found out when we were doing the practice races before the Tuesday rounds kicked off. Thats why I was at the back the whole time. Try racing with the Datsun, it's so much harder than with the controller. You have to be so sensitive with the pedals & steering when slowing down.

Good shot of my roll on the 2nd to last corner on the last lap. Had no problems with that corner throughout the race so was gutted as I was catching Alex for the 2nd time after running into Mic VR who span in front of me, with nowhere for me to go. Was a good race though. Looking forward to the next round.

Looking forward to this tonight. Finally got a new headset & sorted the handling issues of last week with my wheel. :clap: Should be good. See you all at 8.

Was definitely an eye opener. Unfortunately didn't get to see much of the races as I was battered from behind :camp: on the 1st race & struggled getting to grips with the Microsoft steering wheel I was using for the rest of them. Hopefully should be sorted & up to speed next week. I'll have a mic sorted for then also. Could hear some of what was being said but missed quite a bit. Thanks again guys.

Standardised car sounds good to me. As long as everyone agrees not to change the mods on the car for better parts then all should be good. All down to driver skill then. Should produce some good racing. Btw Alex just to avoid any confusion, you've got my gamertag next to Hatcha's name.

When are we starting this up then? Looking forward to some good racing. Just got a wheel for this so raring to go. In the meantime I'm gonna add the people who've put their name down from this thread to my friends list if thats ok with you folks? I'm up for this. Hoping to get my Xbox back early next week so as soon as it's back i'm in. Just for thought, if maybe we start the racing at 30 mins long, there may be more interest. If things go well see about increasing the time span.

Guess I won't be racing now. My supposedly "repaired" replacement Xbox which arrived back today has a DVD drive fault & won't read my Forza disc. Bloody Microsoft :bad-words:

Just got my Xbox back from repair, so I'm up for racing if there's still room? Wasn't sure if it was going to be here in time. BTW Top Gear now starts at 21:00 on Sunday so may need to rethink race time.

Liking the look of these. If they can do an MPH version I'd definitely buy a set.

Blackberry C at a roundabout off the A55 at Bodelwyddan yesterday (3rd) about 2.10 pm. Looked in really good nick. I'd just pulled off the 55 with a blown head gasket :mad2: & had to get towed back to Wrexham. Great way to end what was a crap holiday!!

Well if it's not pissin down lookin to change the shocks & springs for some nice yellow & red FK ones. 40mm drop to lose a bit of the tractor look.

When my bulb failed I went to Maplins with the old bulb & got a replacement. 5 mins to solder the new one in & works brilliantly. It is a bit fiddly to get the old bulb out of the holder though.

Cheers Yan, do you have any idea on the price of the joints themselves though? There seems to be a grinding when on full lock & moving off at low speeds so looking to replace the lot really.

Looks like the time has come for me to replace my cv joints. Anyone got an idea of VAG prices for these?, as I don't want to get cheap crap really. Can I replace them easily myself or will it require a trip to the local garage?

ADZ, did changing the CV joint cure the problem? Seem to be having the same issue with mine at the moment. Recently changed bushes, top mounts, tie-rods, wishbones & ball joints but still making a grinding/creaking noise.

I've got a 3 year old & an 8 month old & have no problems running round with them in. Can fit two pushchairs in the boot plus a bit of shopping (with some careful re-arranging). So I'd def think about keeping the C mate.

Anyone know of a decent reputable place to get wheel alignment done in Wrexham/N. Wales area? About to do the BJs etc & want it setup properly once everythings fitted.
