i know it was really rare and fortunately its gone to a mate that is close by so i can always offer to buy it back, and although it was rare i was un sure of how much it could fetch, really startin to miss it now an i know it misses me! i thought i saw a tear in her eye. . . . or was that just the usual scottish weather!

Yes lads and ladettes, today i am selling my beloved 2litre 8 valve auto, :( i would only sell it to another forum member so my mate joined up to buy it!! but he also loves my rado, maybe as much as i do!! so here it is the end of an era for me just now after 4 years of owning the best car i have ever had its all over......until i get my a storm!! 8)

i have the 2 litre 8V auto, one of the tapets is rattling like hell, has anybody done them?? i know its a big jobby but would like to get them done as soon as, lucky i have just bought a second car!! a v70 T5 to run about in!! any help would be great cheers

finally i am gettin closer to finding out more about my beloved. i have a 8V automatic! had it for 5years now and met a few lads from glasgow with rados but never an auto 8V, so it begs the question how many were built and how many are left?? i have just replaced the gearbox and apart from the usual wear an tear it has never given me any major head aches, it has mint condition black cloth recaros and it well maintained inside. the body has a couple of minor dents but when washed and sunny it looks amazin, even had the traffics stop me to admire the C!!! (if ur readin this mate i do remember meeting you in george sq but forgotten your name sorry!) i stay in easterhouse but train in bridgeton and work around glasgow, i may be sellin the car but will only sell it to another corrado lover since i have put so much tlc into it over the last 5 years! if any one can help me find how rare mine is i would really appreciate it! cheers :D

lads i thought i would add my comments in too! iv just got my 2litre 8valve auto back on the road after almost a year of sittingg alone and scared, everyday seems to get better with the c esp as the good weather is kickin in an 2 people stopped me today sayin thats a really nice motor mate! and although i keep encountering little problems with the bad boy i just see it as something i get to do everyday on my c. even after owning mine for 4years i still love watching the spoiler go up and watching peoples faces as they watch it go back down! the missus keeps saying get rid of it and y u always on the forum but they just dont understand they love eh?? i finally decided after an amazin trip to skye in the c that its a keeper!!

hey i just had to congratulate you, really made me smile seein ur c involved in you wedding! its great to know that other dudes love their rados as much as i do....congrats on the wedding too bud!

alright lads iv decided that im goin to fork out for a wiper conversion too since it rains so bleedin much in 'sunny' scotland. what would you dudes suggest lupo or tt?? im goin to try euro car parts as i will hopefully get a wee sneaky discount cheers

i just got put my auto gearbox in this weekend and got everything ready for mot 2mrw but now i can topen the passenger door!!! the alarm has stopped working and i can only open the driver door via the key. does this suggest the pump is gone?? i really want to be able to mot mine 2mrw as i have not driven it for 6 months! i have cheked the fuses already, any help would really be appreciated cheers

hey dude you are the first person i have ever met with another 2litre 8 valve auto. so hallo! unfortunately mine is doin what yours was doing with the gear change problems however it has gotten much worse for mine as it refuses to go into reverse. i have changed the oil and filter i have un bolted the cable and tried changing the gears manually to no avail. i dropped the car off today to a local mech, and it was driving in gears 1,2,3 but wouldnt switch upto 4th until i put the gear selector into REVERSE!! do u think this could possibly be an electrical fault causing this?? and have you had any more probs with yours?? ps if your ever considering selling or breaking yours down and the gearbox is still intact ill buy!! cheers dude

guys iv tried everything so far, my 95 2litre 8valve automatic refuses to go into reverse gear. it goes in every gear apart from reverse. even in neutral it drives forward. i have un bolted the cable and manually changed the gears, i have changed and refilled the gearbox oil and filter to no avail. so i need any help and advice if possible please. or if anyone on this planet is selling a 8 valve auto gearbox please let me no. ( apologies if i have posted this on the wrong section!)

i didnt think you could just change the gearbox, as i thought it goes directly into the engine and technically i thought the engine would be automatic as well, but it would save me about a million bucks and hassle if i could just change the gearbox, any advice would be appreciated walesy, an dan cheers but no cheers u guys down there might be into that stuff but i aint!! 8)

alright guys, i have a 2ltr 8valve automatic, the gearbox has packed in and im considering breaking and selling but want to give my little beauty a chance. im considering buying a2 ltr 16vlave manual engine and gearbox and just want to know if it will slot in perfectly, i know it wont be easy but is it possible??? any help and advice would really be appreciated

i know its been a while but have you got your stereo sorted yet? i have a 94 2ltr 8valver and have set some 6 by 9 with amp and sub, iv wired loads of different cars so maybe i can help, but hopefully u have sorted it by now!
