  1. oh, it looked green from my crappy work monitor. :brickwall:
  2. 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfmotivator1770578.jpg[/attachment:r62uq4we] Or motivator1625838.jpg[/attachment:r62uq4we]
  3. hmm, its got an led for the cat too and then two more green leds next to that. wonder what those are for?
  4. Silly me, if only i'd posted it somewhere synonymous with Corrados... :bonk: ok, i guess as you posted in general car chat rather than off-topic i'll let you off this time. next time though Jon you'll have to write 100 lines of " i shall make my thread titles easier to understand for idiots" and have it on my desk by monday morning.  had an idea for another, but can't access it at work. :camp:
  5. i found it was just right, but the induction noise changed according to how open the throttle was, not the revs. its not touching any of the body work is it? mine was when i initially put it on, but got much quieter when i actually fixed it properly to the engine block. how are the 288s working out?
  6. i don't see corrado in thread title! lol

    New Gear nob

i take it you mean 'come off'? yes it does. righty tighty, lefty loosey.
  8. I think I like. Those wheels look cool too, a hint of the OE steelies about them but a bit dished too.
  9. there's tons of vids on youtube of the build and he's recently uploaded one of it running. it sounds a bit off if you ask me, but it looks awesome!
  10. OK, found a few places that do these, they all seem to be about 35 dollars. Jegs Sumit Racing Sport Compact Only
  11. DDI = Dub Design Industries, they are a Canadian modding company. Can't remember how much they are, about 60 quid I think. And yes they are a direct replacement for stock dials, half hour job.
  12. I like older style bikes more, there seemed to be a lot more variation of style than you get these days. That's not to say I don't appreciate the modern bike, I just find the old one more aesthetically pleasing. Plus I nearly killed myself in Thailand on a 125 so if I ever got a bigger bike I would splat quite quickly! I went to one of my best friends wedding/blessing at her parents place in Ireland and her old man is really into his bikes. He has an old BSM (i think) surrounded by a huge model railway up in his playroom. He's even got a little bridge going along the lunge ceiling so he can see the trains as they go past when he's watching TV. Bit blurry, I was drunk. climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfDSC00296.JPG[/attachment:rtvnvdnu] Old BMW out in the drive. 13. that's really cool! you got any more pics of the bulb wired up?
  14. But you've already got a Shrek Phil.....
  15. not yet bud, been ultra busy the last few evenings, bit of a personal thing going on, sorry mate. but its crisis over now thank god, so i'll look over the weekend....unless you wanna? actually its probably prudent we both look then come back and compare data.
  16. oh, i thought they came as standard...oh well....corrected again!
  17. try dubdesignindustries.com (i think) or maybe ebay.com or even maybe the 'tex. that's where i would try intially just off the top of my head. if not, perhaps you could drop one of our US members a pm and ask them to get them for you? this assumes that vw still sell them of course....
  18. Campaign had my plate J13 VRG - my name's James and I was born on the 13th. But I think its gone to Ireland now...I'll never fekkin get it! Nice plate Phil, plus if you ever decide to sell it, its so close to FU KET you could sell it for loadsa money to a chav or a thai.
  19. I think you're right with the beige carpets and black centre console, it would work best out of all the combos. You could always get busy in photoshop if thats your thing and try out the diff combos? And PROVR6 already beat me to the "sell me the beige" line. dang!
  20. Ok cool...I'll try to find a 9 incher without looking in my pants  I was having internet issues when I got home last night, it was taking 2 mins for a cf page to load so there was no way i was going to go trolling thru the net at that speed. I shall endevour tonight - connection permitting - and let you know. I might try and see if i can get a tape measure round the filter too, but I highly doubt it given I have the clearance of half a pack of fags under the bumper.
  21. I had 18" RS4s on until very recently. They looked the dogs danglies but crashing and tramlining over bumps was certainly an issue. Check out the link in my sig for pics. ps - if you want a battered set of rs4s very cheap, drop me a pm.
  22. Legend. :notworthy: This thread has been really useful as you've done everything I was about to, and then put up some nice pictures to show me how. Ta star.
  23. HELP! I took out my 2nd hand 288mm calipers last night from the box in the cupboard to begin cleaning them up only to discover that they have no pistons in them! Argh... Is this something I can get from VW (part no pls?) or should I chuck them in the bin and start again?
  24. Yeah, the K&N website doesn't list one for it. Do you know the dimensions of the 0311? If we can get a slightly larger/longer one then maybe some cunning cable tie action may be on the cards.
