  1. hi sorry im a bit vague.

it was a g60 (so 280mm 4 stud) but now with a 20vt in, im also lookin to do track days and nurburg this year plus big breaks look cool ( awful reasoning!!) so i was looking into the 305mm discs from a 4 stud seat ibiza with the brembo 4 pot calipers and carriers they come with as as far as i know theyre pretty much a straight fit to the g60. i was just wondering whether the same calipers were used on any other car that might be cheaper or easier to source.

also do you know what model year ibiza this setup is from and whether its just the cupra R its from or the cupra too?thanks

  2. i fancy having some big brakes, the 312 seems to be the most cost effective thing to do. i cant view the WIKI link on post 1 for some reason. anyway my only prob is i have a g60 (well technically a 20vt :p) so could i fit these in the same way but just drill out the discs to 4 stud? if not are the vr6 hubs the same fitment? i.e will the offset in the arch be the same and the driveshaft splines be the same? my biggest prob with changing to vr hubs tho is that iv just spent a long time polishing and painting my 4 stud wheels. :(

also yeti do you stil have the bolts and spacers available? thanks

  3. lol so its ended up just as low as it was!!! hahah. and i thought mine was low atm. seems like a normal drop now! i have enough problems with bad roads, speedbumps, getting on and off the drive etc!!!

  4. ok heres my 2

this is my g60 on standard ride height. centre of wheel to arch is 555mm. too high! and very floppy.soon to be lowered.

this is my other with centre of wheel to arch of 515mm. apparently only -40mm then. but its slammed! i scraped my subframe on a speedbump in work. therefor not going any lower! its on koni fully adjustables. pretty harsh ride, but thats cos i got them pretty hard, very very good round corners tho. very good positive feel.

p.s. CDEM ur a nutter!! surely u dont even have suspension on that?!

  5. iv messaged lindy and looked on vortex cant really find anything. can anyone think of anyone else on here with a rwd corrado? particularly if theyre running the haldex setup to do so. i wana pick their brains! thanks for the replies guys.

  6. thanks for the ideas. ill have a look for the others with rwd and have a chat. i know the haldex stuff wud be a bit of a bodge but itd be easier, and i can always pop in the front drive shafts and have 4wd if i fancy it.

i quite like the idea of the rwd corrado. bit different and the shape lends itself to rwd. but then with teh haldex i can go 4wd if i dont like the rwd handling.

    so it is possible then?

  7. im well tempted by the idea of a rwd corrado. its eventuallly gonna be that or 4wd, but dont really want the losses of a 4wd, and think a little bit of rwd drifting would be pretty cool, and a bit more exciting round corners than 4wd.

now my question is, would it be feasable to use teh haldex 4wd stuff to just power the rear wheels? and would i get the same transmission losses this way? or wud most of it be lost going from the box to the wheels?

any other ideas are welcome. i rather fancy a rwd corrado.

  8. ur doing a good job there. i was gonna say the same about the towing, u wont need the rear one unless ur towing someone else. which i just plain wudnt do!

and as for hte exhaust tips, have you seen a 4" on a corrado? i have a 4.5" on mine and imo it looks rediculous. ill give a pic if you want.

  9. my question to you all is, in real life, when you buy -40mm springs, do they actually lower the car 40mm or less? i have 2 corrados, one is on coilies, and is quite low, especially now its on 15s with 45s. the front splitter is 82mm off the floor and i caught my subframe on a speed bump at work. OUCH. i now wanna lower my other one on fixed springs, and the front splitter is 130mm off the floor, therefor to get over the speed bumps at work i need to drop it about 40mm, but in your experience is a 40mm drop actually 40mm? thanks

  10. i must be able to get a t peice to put the sensor in. dunno why the 20vt dont have it. ill find a way of getting one there. and yes im using the original clocks ill look for the wire for it. or even in the dash ill wire it in to the clocks, just wanted to know if it went thru the ecu but apparently it doesnt so i can buy a sensor now to get it in! ill either get a t peice, or maybe use the oil cooler from a corrado etc.

  11. i have a 20vt running DTA management in my early spec g60 corrado and it doesnt have plumbing for the oil temp gauge on the MFA. i love my oil temp gauge on my other cars so i wanna plumb one in.

my question is does the oil temp readout run through the ECU on a standard car at all or does it go straight to the clocks? if so which pins would i attach the oil temp sensor to to get the readout?

    thanks in advance.
