Need something within the next week mate, got MOT at the end of the month. What fk's are they anyway?

As above, anything considered, haven't got the butget for KW's unfortunately. What have you?

Now sorted, thanks for the input! I bought an aluminium door push from Wickes for £2.38, made a template up and made some spacers. Belt now runs true!

I've just installed a VF9 charger to My MK2 VR6, and it seems that the belt alignment is out. I've just been reading through the fitting guide and there is a mention that on some engines there is a need to use a spacer on the mounting bracket. Does anyone have one of these that they didn't need? Or am I more likely not going to find one and have something made? PM Me if you have one and will sell it to Me! Cheers, Ash

Afternoon all! I've just started up my newly rebuilt engine for the 1st time ever, and on running it up to temp, I've noticed there's a colant leak from the front right head nut. (using ARP head bolts) Does anyone have any idea why I'd have a coolant leak from here? It's seeping out from the nut between the nut and the head! The engine was already built up when I bought it so I have no idea what torque the head was bolted on at. I'm hoping this can be easily resolved Ash

Sorry mate, I found mine today and the bracket at the back is broken off.

Mine is definitely off a dizzy engine, I'm converting my car from dizzy to coilpack so it will definitely be right. I'll check the garage and get back to you. £22.50 delivered and it's yours!

Is this a good buy? I've been after a rebuilt VR6 engine for a while now, and have just been offered a fully rebuilt, zero miles engine. I believe the compression is 8.5-1 It's a low compression 2.8, with forged wossner pistons, standard rods, new bearings, new chains and tensioners etc, head hasket, rebuilt head with guides and valve stem oil seals, ARP head studs, etc etc. It was built to run boost from a charger. How would this run normally aspirated? would it be underpowered being low compression? Was thinking of biting the bullet and buying it as I've been offered a Z engineering stage 2 charger kit at a good price. The engine has been offered to Me for £1000, and I know the people who built it so know it will be a gooden! Any advice would be great, it's for my MK2, which was already a VR Cheers, Ash

Evening all! Just a quick question. My Mk2 currently has a dead ABV OBD1 dizzy engine. I'm struggling to find a replacement ABV lump, all I can find is AAA engines, OBD1 and 2 coilpack jobbies. Is it just a straight swop with all my electrics etc to get it to run? I know that I'll have to swop the dizzy drive and upper timing cover to run the dizzy again. Or am I better off binning the dizzy altogether and running OBD2 or 1 coilpack and rewiring it to suit? Bit confused as to whats the betted option. I'll be fitting My 268 cams anyway so it's no hassle to fit the dizzy drive while I'm there if I'm better off with the dizzy option. So what should I do and what's the best OBD or year engine to go for? Thanks in advance, Ash
