  1. Sadly, the time has come to sell my beloved VR6 Corrado.

It is a 1995 'N' registration blackberry with black leather interior and has done 94,300 miles. It is in good condition and drives well. There have been no special modifications but it has a full VW service history and parts have been replaced as and when required by a local VW garage (Lancaster in Towcester). Its last major service and MOT was on 24th November 2017.

It has had only one owner before me and I have had it since 1996, at 6,000 miles. It has been kept garaged (in Milton Keynes) and well treated.

It has the original first aid kit and warning triangle and everything still works, i.e. sun roof, rear spoiler, heater, ABS and heated front seats. The door handle mechanisms that can sometimes break have been replaced on both doors. The ABS unit has been replaced with an identical used one but another identical used spare is included.

It has been fitted with an AutoWatch 160RLi/T Category 1 Thatcham alarm system. The stereo is a Sony MEX-BT5100 unit which connects to an iPod-to-Sony Head Unit device in the glove box so that an iPod can be discretely hidden away and controlled by the head unit. The Sony unit supports hands-free mobile telephony via Bluetooth.

Not many negatives - there are some small blemishes on the paintwork along with 3 small rust spots starting to appear on the bonnet and a bit of rust around the filler cap. The original Speedline wheels show some signs of blistering and the driver seat bolster looks a bit worn.

    £3,600.

Awaiting a reply on PMs sent ????

i've owned the car since 2014, and in that time i have fitted the recaro interior, and had the entire car resprayed. Unfortunately, the preparation for the paint job was not up to the job, and as a result the car has ended up with microblisters over the entire body. It had been my intention to pursue compensation through the courts, but i'm starting an apprenticeship with volvo on monday, need an affordable runabout, have too many other things on at the moment, and would honestly just like to get this whole sorry affair over and done with.

The car will need taking away on a trailer, as it has stood for over a year, and the tyres are knackered (didn't want to put new tyres on it until i knew what was happening with the paintwork), and the battery is dead. The engine starts up perfectly though with a jump, and while there is some noise from the hydraulic tappets on cold start (it is a vr6 after all), there is no chain rattle. The car has covered circa 103k miles.

Anyway, i'll be listing it on ebay tomorrow, but thought i'd give you guys first refusal. I'll take £2400 cash so long as it is gone before the end of the weekend. The interior alone is worth a large chunk of that, and it also has very good condition wheels (refurbed just before i stopped using it). At this price it's either a good base for a high end project, a cheap way of sourcing a leather recaro interior, or sell the interior and have a very cheap, low miles vr6 project.

if it is sold post as such or reply to your messages !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Got a in tank fuel pump fitted ,start engine idles at 11,000 RPM when getting warm

Got a fault CLOSE THROTTLE POSITION SWITCH OPEN CIRCUIT,SHORT WITH POWER (sanp on scanner)

Check the wiring to,the throttle switch, remove the tape from the wiring ,checked the wiring found the blue wire snapped, carried out repair and now starts and idles at 8,000 RPM

So l think l have sorted the idle fault

Is it running a motorbike engine with that sort of RPM ??????

  5. Hope you find a home for this sooner rather than later. I understand It's been a difficult journey but it would be a shame to see it split. GLWS

I know what you mean - hence why It was offered at a bargain price of £7k as is - its worth more in bits to be honest but I would like to see it go as a going concern .

Will be available as a whole until next weekend then I am stripping the supercharger set up , Recaro seats and BBS rims off the car .

I know a few of you have enquired so if you want it as a whole get in touch sooner rather than later
