What engine you going for and whos building it?

On subscription I get ULTRA VW, DUBSCENE and HOT VW'S and always pick up volksworld in the newsagent, I love my aircooled stuff. Also magneto delivered only quarterly, all about original HOT RODDING. Generally pick up any HOT ROD magazine, classic american and even the odd LOWRIDER. Never really bought watercooled mags cause i tend to like them in standard form. After 12 years of collecting them should have enough soon to build me a house.

Mine was noisy on my VR when i first got it, so thought i would have to replace the pump, then the fuel filter was replaced at the service and it has quietened right down, try replacing this first as it is the cheaper option. Mine was full of gunk so think the pump was struggling.

***** Wiper Mod that I did today ***** I went to the dealers cancelled my order for the old part numbers cause they are obsolete and bought 2 x V6X2 998 406 blades and arms, cost me £33 with my discount, fitted them with no probs did not need anything else and work a treat with no fouling. These are what i used and the parts department said that is what everyone is buying. Now going out for a drive in the rain.

Just to throw another spanner in the works, I am sure Mars Red was available in either 1976 or 77 for the aircooled beetle

Wow, spotted in my car and met another mechatronics student, which has to be rarer than seeing a corrado, can i ask who you went to work for, finding an employer to start with who knows what mechatronics is, is a task on its own.

Just finished my Masters in Mechatronics and now looking for a proper job but not being very successful  "IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE LOOKING FOR AN ENGINEERING GRADUATE LET ME KNOW" :D

Does that not build up the pressure, only thinking when i pump the pedal with the ign off the pedal goes hard, or is there another reason for that. Thanks for the advice.

I need to replace my brake fluid in my 95 vr6 with abs. What are the procedures for this, I have replaced fluid before, but was on my 69 beetle, no abs pump or servo to worry about. So firstly how do i drain the old fluid out, then flush the system cause it is looking very murky and then refill, How do you bleed the system is it furthest to closest wheel to the servo and then abs pump or other way round. :?: Also what fuild should I use. Thanks

Strangly, i found the exact same thing today when replacing my accelerator cable funny sort of noise from that wee black box, but did not get time to investigate it, but i am thinking it has something to do with the poor idle.

Rory Will keep you in mind if the car i am going to look at isn't what it seems, where abouts are you.

Thanks for the prompt reply, I live in Edinburgh myself, I see there is quite a few scottish corrado owners on here, is there a club up here or anything, I suppose there is cause i saw a lot of corrados at the show in biggar this year, (i also have a custom 69 beetle i enter in shows and things). With regards to rusty rear arches is it a myth, cause i was speaking to a mate of mine who was looking at 16valvers about two years ago and everyone he saw had rust on the rear arch (so he says).

Hello This is my first post and would appreciate some advice. Having just sold my 92 golf vr6, i am now hopefully going to buy a 95 vr6 corrado with 73K on the clock. I know what to look for with regards engine, but just wondering about everything else. Was going to look at the corrado gb website for buying advice but website is not working and looking to buy the car this coming monday. Things i have heard about is spoiler not working, (how does this work, is there a speed sensor somewhere), Rusty rear arches? is this a normal problem. Anything else to look out for that i should know about, mechanically i am ok with that but more worried about rust traps and the like.
