How do u get to the speakers mounted in the dash! i have installed 2 amps! ! for subs and then i also have another running 6x9's then the same amp on the other 2 channels running some alpine dorr speakers through a set of cross overs but cant put tweeters in the dash! Any ideas??? Cheers

When u get a min! Unplug all the rca leads from the amps! Then plug the sub rca leads in, then just set the bass up on its own! Repete this with 6x9's and componants! I mean unplug everything but the 6x9's then once there set up unplug them then set up the componants on your head unit! Most head uniths with pre-out's now have 1 specially for subs and there are usually loads of different setting on the head unit for frequency's! But if u do one at a time when there all plugged in it should sound sweet with maybe a slight balance adjustment!!!

Nice one! Did u buy all the paint from halfords??? I just bought some deep dish rims with a decent set of tires on for £70, only prob is on 2 of the rims (the dish part) the lacquer is flaking off! So gonna attempt to fix them up! I haven't got a garage though! Spraying them out side in the shed then bringing them to the house would be okay do u think??? Cheers

Hate that search thing can never find what im lookin for!! JUst been out for a drive and its fine now! oil temp sat around 75 And no oil light or nasty beeping noise!!!

Hey my car started beeping today and i checked the oil temp and it was 100! Could this be the same problem i checked the oil level and thats fine, is there an easy way to check if the heat exchanger is screwed!!!!Um any advice? Cheers

Done it only took 2 and a half hours rather than 6 and a half! My car is now sounding lovely!! Now for the breaks!

Ha HA!! Sorted!! I spent 2 hours changing the other bearing today! A little differant than 6 hours! And my cars sounding lovely again no noise wat so eva! Now for the brakes!!!!

Yeah the front had the insert in it that the drive shaft fits into! Where as the rear dosent!! Any ideass where to get a workshop manual fron and who makes them! Asked the local car place today and they looked for a haynes but no joy???

WHey had anyone done this themselves or does anyone know how you get the old bearing out!! I changed the front drivers side bearing this avo on my 1992 1.8 16v and it was a right bastard!! How do u get the old bearing out without destroying it!!! There are 2 circa clips but u can only see 1 untill the hub has been knocked off, i say see, i mean get to! then once u've pushed the new bearing in is there an easy way to put the hub (splined bit) back into the center???? i spent 6 hours doing it but my cars still making the same noise, so b4 i do the other one any advice would be awsome!!! #cheers

Hey dude! Did u find the source of the problem yet? Mine is doing the same! I spent all afternoon today changing the wheel bearing on the front and its made no differance! Bastard !!!!!!

Yeah cold ait feed needed and also heat shield from engine!!!!! Maybe it'd be possible to adapt another filter from something else???

Just been out with anothr vw owner and he sayis it sounds like the font bearing is on its way out but isnt totally screwed! Maybe i will wait a few days to see if it devlopes further then check the wheels again!!!

Ok driving back from bristol yesterday did about 160 miles at a steady 65-80mph just as i arrived back to newquay i could hear a rumbling, sounded like it was a wheel bearing. I've just had all corners of the car in the air and i cant feel anything out of the ordinary on any wheel! the noise dosent vary if u change directions! There's hardly any play in the drive shaft! The noise is real faint untill i hit 35mph then it gets real noticable but any speed above that it dosent get any louder? Its not a knockin sound and theres no play in the steering rack! Any ideas would be real helpfull! Cheers Matt

Wow those things look awsome from Stroeve! But pricy! think i will try drilling holes in the box first ! So i got tomorrow morn off work its not gonna take more than an hour is it? And i should only drill holes on the side that is next to the wing!!! And as for the trumpet wats that! Sorry just so different from my old car! Any advice?
