As you can see in the pic my exhaust is currently being held up by a cable tie as I don't have a bracket, I also have no idea what kind of exhaust is on my car. Can you tell by this pic if the standard bracket will fit this exhaust or do I need to source one that may have been supplied with it? Cheers

Hi guys, Recently my VR6 started idling very rough and it stutters quite badly whenever the revs are below around 2000 rpm. It started last week while I was driving about town, one minute it was fine the next the engine sounded terrible and a lot louder than it usually does. Normally I can drive around at 30 mph in 5th gear quite the thing but if I do that just now the engine stutter like mad so I have to keep the revs quite high so I need to stay in 3rd for it to drive properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well I changed the bulb today just incase it was that........it wasn't. Car cut out again driving to halfords when I indicated right at a junction took me a while to get it started again, there was a king of buzzing sound coming from the instrument cluster. I have no idea about earth points and stuff, I know next to bugger all about cars! ha Can anyone on here advise on the location of the relevant earth point?

Hi, recently whenever I indicate right or use my hazards it seems to cause problems, if I indicate right while stationary with the engine running the revs dip with the indicator light and if my lights are on the dim at the same time. The other day while driving I indicated right and the coolant light flashed and the revs seemed to totally cut out for a second. Today I indicated right again and the engine totally cut out. The front right indicator light doesn't work but all the side and rear ones do. Could it just be that the bulb is dead and this is causing the problems or is it whatever the problem is is causing the front right indicator not to work? I spoke to an ex mechanic when it was just the lights dimming and the revs dipping and he said it may be a bad earth. Just thought I'd ask on here to see if anyone else has had this/knows anything about it. Thanks

Yeah I noticed that looking at some pics on ebay, I'm fine with that as long as I have some heat, atm I have a broken blower and dials, a wee bit chilly in the highlands like! Any idea if the non-corrado ones can be still made to fit? Specifically a lhd Seat toledo as I don't fancy paying £100 if it'll work with a £30 part.

Update: I've found one on ebay for £30 but it's L/H drive, anyone know if would that go into a R/H drive VR6 or is everything the other way round?

From a wee while ago...... My mate was having a shot of my VR6 not long after I bought it, I was in the passenger seat with the window down, we passed a group of kids in town and one of them shouted "COOL". I was proper happy! :lol:

Hi, does anyone on here know what other vehicles heater control panel fits in a late dash VR6? I know the early Seat Toledo one does, just wondering if there are any others? Cheers

I took my rado into the VW dealer by mine for a check up before the MOT they gave me a list of stuff that needs done and if I get them to fix it it'll be about £700 (about 250 parts the rest labour and VAT!! I thought it was a bit steep!!) Are dealers much more expensive than a local dealer or is the difference not that great? (I'm a total noob when it comes to garages!!)

yeah there is clicking and the rev counter kind of moves a tiny bit with the ticks, and the lights do go dim when I turn the key . The car was only sitting for a couple of days.

I replaced the battery incase thats what it is but I'm getting a mechanic in the army that knows a bit about alarms to have a look so hopefully he'll be able to sort it.

this is the first time it's done it, I think it must be the battery the fog light switch was on but the lights didn't come on and I forgot I pressed the switch. would that have drained the battery still?
