  1. Gents, need a couple of new tyres on the front of my VR. Can anyone recommend anything currently available to give my stock Speedlines a treat? Cheers.
  2. Bruny, I hear ya!! Just changed both mounts bearings (bearings done at the top of this thread) and still the gap is there under the top dishes. Can't fathom it, MOT retest 2moro and the MOT guy says there should be no gap, I think we're gonna fall out! Calling VW first thing 2moro but can any of you guys offer any advice, cheers.
  3. Gents, need to pick your brains. VR Failed MOT for play in the top of the front struts, tester guy said" change the top bearings cos its common on VW's", so I did. Just re-tested and failed again so I'm now thinking that its the large rubber donuts on the tops of the struts, have they compressed/gone soft over the yrs? Anyone had this problem before?
  4. They've done a quality job on your rims and I guess that it wasn't cheap so this is why I'm confused as to why you would decide to paint them yourself on your drive?
  5. Worth tracking the ebay guy down, just been quoted £107 by Audi for the whole lot !! Didn't seem keen either when I couldn't give them a chassis or reg number for my VR6 TT.
  6. I'll take one, let me know payment details etc, cheers.
  7. Hello mate, I'm new to Corrado, so whats the score with this spec tool? Is it a must for use on VR6, if so I'd definitely be interested.
  8. Just a quick post say what a fantastic tool this forum is for finding fixes for those niggly Corroado woes. I used the Knowledge Base and various threads to find a fix for my door mirrors, lo and behold, the cleaning up of the contacts got both going again - sorted. As a newcomer to the forum I'm finding it to be a top quality reference tool. Keep up the good work! Off now to pop those mirror glasses out to give those dry sounding motors a bit of TLC.

    Sunroof bother.

This may be a common fault, but as a new Corrado owner, I'll bow to your superior knowledge. Sunroof tilts ok but won't slide although it does start to move it won't go back. Not afraid to take the whole lot apart and tackle it myself so fire away with any suggestions. Cheers.
  10. Looking for some info from all you Corrado experts out there. I'm looking for a VR6 and I'm currently doing my homework on the web, in books etc but I don't know any owners. Just looking for common faults, what to check for, (I know my way around a car so don't worry about being technical). Always had golfs up to now so also familiar with VW. Seen some advertised mentioning classic car insurance, is this true, I presume its mileage dependant. Any help gratefully accepted. Cheers.
