  1. BILLCOR,too hot, easypops,Harrier and clumpy1 Thank you very much for the comments. too hot that was 2012 and it was a lucky grill from my mates old rado and id not seen an early grill on a late car so wanted to try it. ill update now this year it took me ages to update that last night lol 2013 trialled many sets of wheels as the ruby black boxsters were sold on, i nearly went with these seat wheels before going for the trusty porsche wheels this time: cup2 7 and 9 x 17 (pics from Scottishvag13) and refitted the proper grill It was time for edition 38 and 1 week before my mate Stu and i decide to get the engine bay done. we had left it out in the respray and it was letting the car down big time sooo... started stripping it down scrubbed, replaced bits and bobs, moved stuff, rewrapped wires, colour coded inlet/rocker and of course got the bay painted, also made a scuttle cover from scratch we got finished 4 am the night before travelling the 300 odd miles to edition and ended up with a runners up rado prize which to this day im still so overjoyed about

  5. ive got so much to update in this thread, ill try and keep it as short as possible. after the last post in 2010 it went off the road up til early 2012,due to circumstance and just keeping a daily car on the road. it now needed a lot of work after sitting so long ,so it was a case of fix it or scrap it! list of things required: new wings(i butchered them trying to make the 17"borbet bs fit) full new brakes front and rear including pipes new koni coilovers other suspension parts and bushes engine mounts relays, fuses and switches(these had been robbed to help keep my mates rado on the road) door handles( "") outer door scrapers (same as above and what a nightmare to get a hold of) radiator and fans rear bumper(cheerz easypops) battery bonnet cable ,boot struts and other odds and sods TT wipers and part nos for anyone wanting to know blades arms interior out to get scrubbed and alcantara stuff fitted will update more as i go
  6. i did it a few years ago will be pics in my build thread, but you can kiss goodbye to your MOT as the beam pattern is all over the place, the projectors are designed to be used with clear lenses
  7. Put me down for one, just let me know who to pay and I'll send it over cheerz

  11. ok all is not lost after all, i searched the net for info on subframes ,and found out that the mk3 golf subframe will fit the 4 main bolts that hold it to the car,the trailing bracket which therado has but is shorter and mk2 golf subframe does not have is a little too long but is suitable to be drilled to fit the rado. the wishbones on this mk3 subframe were the same as the rado ones(16v not vr)although the steering rack was different (only where the steering knuckle joins)the length was the same. the other problem encountered was the mk3 subframe rear engine mount is completely different to rado /mk2 golf subframes so this was solved by using an abf 16v engine bracket. i hope this info can be usefull to people because its took me a lot of searching and a bit of guesswork to get here, but the conclusion is a mk3 golf subframe will fit your 16v with a few mods, but good news as there is plenty mk3s out there with decent subframes to replace your old rotten corrado ones difference in brackets difference in steering racks mk3 large spline rado small spline and back to earth on the rotas :D
  12. ill say to my mate and try and pop along, although my rado aint ready yet ,will need to be in his :-)
  13. the subframe with the captive nut problem is stilll in someones possesion prob never to be seen again ,hence why i forked out and bought another subframe, gutted
  14. it doesnt fit,i think its either a mk3 or vr6 one ,the rear brackets are too long and the rear engine mount is different, back to the drawing board
