  1. good point. i would have time in a few years when the kids are a bit older but i just cant let it rot away in the garage like it is doing :(. you have a good point though. problem i have is that I haven't got a clue how much it would be worth
  2. looking in my garage, I have most of a spare engine (2.8vr6), another front cross member, spare rear lights, and loads of other bits as well. it would all be going with the car as well
  3. I have a 1993 Corrado Vr6 that's been in the family for the last 6-8 years but for the last 2 years its been sat in my garage. /now I have a young family and with work ramping up, I just don't seem to have the time to do anything to it to get it back on the road. I am now debating on selling the car but I just dont know what its worth or whether its worth selling it whole or parting it out. A bit of info about the car. Its a blue 1993 VR6 with approx 123,000 miles on the clock K&N induction kit. Full Brembo brakes. Koni adjustable suspension Cat replacement pipe (still have the cat) Magnex exhaust (cat back) The reason it was put in the garage is that it developed a smoking issue when accelerating after engine breaking (big cloud of blue smoke when initially acceleration then it clears). I have got new piston rings, new gaskets, new engine bolts, new bearings etc to rebuild the engine but I just don't have time to do it. At the minute the car has all the front end removed and engine disconnected (with the gearbox still in). If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance Neil
  4. Hi everyone. I have a corrado vr6 that has started burning oil which we think is either a piston ring that has gone or a cylinder gone slightly oval. Now I have been reading up what to do and pricing bits up and it looks like it will be easier and possibly cheaper to go for an engine conversion. What I'm wondering is what engine to go for? I want to keep on the v6 route but I'm just wondering what engine fits? I know the 4motion v6 out of the bora and golf fit but what about the passat 4motion (amx engine code) can anyone please help me? Thanks Neil
  5. Hi marshall. Im in carterton as well. I would be interested in taking it off your hands if you still have it. P.M. me and we can sort something out. Neil
  6. Sorry. I didn't realise I had a message because it didn't tell me. I have just sold it I'm afraid. Thanks for looking anyway. Neil

    Vr6

Never thought I would see that car again. I saw that car on ebay and was next in line if you didn't get it. So glad you it was another forum member that bought it and decided to fix it up and get it back on the road and not just part it out like so many others Neil
  9. Im over in carterton so in the middle of oxford and swindon lol. just getting into doing thing to the corrado and want to speak to like minded people and then i can have go to people when i need info or m stuck with things lol neil
  10. Just wondering if any of the Oxfordshire/Wiltshire members go to any local meets? I am part of Club Gti and sadly now only a forum visitor to Dublands (swindon vw club) and haven't really been to/seen any meets recently so am wondering where everyone goes so maybe i can come along and get to meet some other members. Neil
  11. Seems like there are quite a few of us in this area then. I'm over in Carterton. From knowing of only 3 Corrados in town i have seen about 6 or 7 here lately. I think everyone is catching on how amazing they are lol. My golf was an 8v gti with a few subtle tweeks Portent. It was great fun but just doesn't compare to the Corrado lol.
  12. Hi everyone. Thought it was abut time I said hi and introduced myself. Have been in the VW scene for a while with having 2 mk2 golf Gti's before but this is my first Corrado. I have only had it for abut 6 months but it has been in my family for just under 5 years. its a 1993 Vr6 that's been lowered on Spax springs, K&N induction kit, Magnex exhaust with a decat pipe and that's pretty much it. Its not a show winning car by no means but with a little time and effort (and a few more fixes lol) I intend to have it have it worthy of the looks it gets when I drive it lol. If anyone is around and about oxford area then give me a shout. Posted some pics so let me know what you think. Neil
