wow! good job  blackberry corrado's look very nice indeed. i would be doing the same as you if i could stop throwing money at the damn thing to stay on the road :? i keep thinking whats the point if there's not many more miles left in the engine but yours has done a few more than mine (a bit of inspiration)

it is the best feeling in the world when it runs sweet after a bad spot! even more so when you fix it yourself, happy days :D

well typically i was half way through changing the rocker cover gasket and the heavens opened so i dug out my VW/fishing brolly and hey presto! it fits! had to take a photo for the comedy value. :D took me about a year to find those TSW's, weighing up cost, diameter, width, offset, ect. not sure on the weight but they cant be far off 10kg each. really like the wheels but would like to sort out the offset at the back with a spacer behind the hub at some point. needs a bit of a lower as well when i can afford it. :norty:

wow thats a good price! i would have refurbed them if it wasn't for the buckled wheel. still handy to know, where about's and whats the name?
-
thanks peeps! yea the colour is awesome :luvlove: i saw people had ran there cables for there i pods through the cubby hole in the center console and its a really good idea! got about 4Gb of music on that memory stick so i dont have to clutter the car up with cd's, doesn't jog over the bumpy roads either. here's a pic of those wheels 3 years later 02102009027.jpg[/attachment:2ci2y65f] i did really like them but they started to corrode and one was buckled so i got the tsw's. only got £20 for them on ebay :( no words on the seats unfortunately, whats the difference?

a well overdue HELLO to all! i thought id better actually get on and do this as iv been meaning to for a long time but have been delaying it till i had fixed the corrado a bit. i brought my 2l 16v about 3 years ago from a guy in wembley and as is the great British weather it was raining when i went to view it :? i paid £1900 for it with 110,000 miles on the clock which i thought wasn't bad although when i got it back there where quite a few places where the lacquer was peeling and a fair few parking dings that you couldn’t see in the wet, either way i was still chuffed with it! i soon after bumped into dan vw at breeze and he pointed me in the direction of the forum! This is my list so far with alot of help from everyone on the forum: Interior Changed heater matrix (re-built the flaps and controls whilst i was at it) Welded hang brake after the mot garage ripped it up :bad-words: Ignition switch 3 x 6” pioneer speakers (rear) Alpine sxe speakers (front) 10” mac audio sub Pioneer head unit Exterior Re-sprayed sun roof Changed rear calipers, disks and bearings new brake bias valve changed fuel filter and line undersealed Bee sting aerial Abs sensor's drivers side door handle replaced both door pins new areal, base and cable engine Abs pump ISV Coil and module Throttle Clutch Cam belt and tensioner 90amp alternator and aux belts battery rocker cover gasket MODS Kr cam 50mm inlet K&n panel filter with widened air flow 4-2-1 stainless manifold 2.5" stainless cat back system 280 break conversion (in red) green stuff pads 10mm rear sub-axle spacers TSW hockenheim’s Painted front grill, headlight surrounds and reg surround Red rears with amber led bulbs and resisters Cat 1 cobra alarm and immobilizer (fitted by Andy at trim wizard) jom coilovers power rohr lupo wipers clear side repeaters door handle repair from daves16v And loads of other little bits as well as servicing. Need some better pics but here’s what i have so far........ vw want well over £100 for the coil and ignition modual and wouldn't give me the part numbers :censored: if anyone has a coil and ignition modual in good working condition could you let me know please. iv made a wanted thread to appease the mods! http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=85691

saw 2 today and even got a wave  standard aqua blue L reg vr6 parked up near the ferry in portsmouth and then got a wave on my way back into southampton from the driver of a dark coloured c (possibly midnight blue) so i gave a wave back.
-
thanks for your reply's guys, i might pop in to vw in that case and get the correct part numbers as the aftermarket sellers always seem to get it wrong. when the guy showed me the coil pack i knew it wasn't right so i got him to have a look (as i had the c with me) and he gave me a coil which was slightly different to the one on there at the moment. surprise surprise it didn't work so i took it back. i was just interested in which models this was meant for as they are advertised everywhere for corrados.
-
The corrado has been running lumpy when its hot lately so i decided to GFS to get a new coil and ignition modual and they presented me with one of these............ Untitled.jpg[/attachment:1fg6spvl] iv got a cylinder type coil but as its one of the face lift models and im wondering weather its ment to have a pack rather than a cylinder? tried to fit a new cylinder type coil and it wouldn't fire up  anyone on the know with this?

American express where doing really cheep insurance for vr's when i checked last. it would have cost me less to insure a vr than my valver! :cuckoo:

vw domo replied to frandaman's topic in General Car Chat
used to see a nice dark looking c in bournemouth when i visited my mate last year. he lived in student housing just across the park from the uni. near slades farm. -
forgot to mention caught a glimpse a blue rado going in the opposite direction further down on the road on the A35 on spicer's hill bearing many passengers! they are out in force
-
corrado hot spot! another spot at the millbrook shell garage off the A3024, a guy filling up his blackberry rado. didnt really get a proper look as it was quite busy but looked tidy.
-
not being funny but i used a spanner.
-
green de-badged rado at the shell garage in southampton. reved at me to get my attention as i was filling up mine but didnt say anything after i had payed for fuel. looked a bit annoyed at the van that pulled up millimeters from the car lol. sounded like a g60! never seen it before but looked nice.

http://www.corrado-club.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8848 this is the one i used, helped me through the procedure. good luck! if you find that all the foam flaps that controle the direction of the air have disintegrated it might be worth sorting that out, i cleaned them up and replaced the foam with lino, worked a treat! ps. be really gentle with the center console, its rather brittle :?
-
welcome! sounds like a heater matrix change is in order,i changed mine after i brought the car and i get nice hot air now for those cold mornings :D . before you change make sure its not just an air lock. iv got one of those ebay disks aswell, they have all the right info on there its just a bit hard to navigate, not as basic as the bently manuals. if you ask the right questions on the search you will get all the answers you need.........good luck.
-
just found this aswell, thought i better thank shaung60 for numerous parts i have bought from him :thumbleft: top job!
-
if it where me id have the kit smoothed in with a respray but its really your choice, that green is lush! looks like it could pack a punch as well ?
-
