  1. thread resurrection. iv been looking to purchase a new coil and modual again but it seems that if you have a 9a engine the only way is VAG  (very expensive) has anyone successfully fitted a coil with a different PN or changed the plug-in to incorporate one of the dry coils? pretty sure i tried fitting an aftermarket coil listed for the kr and it didnt work. im guessing none of these options are possible due to the different ECU's.
  2. Still looking. Part number on the casting is 027 253 033 BF i think the same as kr and abf. Thanks

  12. thanks guys, il have a look into it and see what the best options are, not up for to much cabin vibration  iv been to gfs already but the oil filled rear mount they offered seemed quite soft.
  13. got 195/45 on mine, slight stretch, looks good :D
  14. had a look through the search and can only find info on the vr engine mount upgrades, like the mk2 diesel gearbox mount and poly bush mounts for instance. is this the same fitting for the valvers? need to go for some stiffer mounts really, is it worth doing them all?

    What earth?

exact same problem i was having dude, just trace the stereo earth to the fuse box and cut it there so you can earth it to the earthing point under the dash next to the bonnet release.

    What earth?

iv recently had problems with this, it was more a problem with my head unit earth than the sub earth so i relocated it from the fuse board to the earthing point in the drivers foot well, I still get some feedback though. if you do get a suppressor fitted be good to see if it works. you will get not better earth than directly to the battery. do you get any other feedback such as the fuel pump arming etc?
  17. vw had an update and the computers where messed up, got the right ones now :D
  18. thanks toad, just had a look and the low pressure one is 068 919 081 c 0.75 - 1.05 and this was the one he was directed to on the system when i asked for the blue sender. the high pressure one is the 056 919 083 1.6 - 2 that you have on your list there. not sure if thats even right as the one on there at the moment has no details on it.
  19. fitted the new senders today and i get the oil light flashing so there defo not right, think the low presure sender is rated 0.75 - 1.25 which is nowhere neer what it should be. :? vw will probably make a big fuss about returns as well.
  20. il give all the sensor plugs a spray with WD40 as well as check the cables and see if that helps, i found that connector for the throttle sensor has snapped again which is probably why is revving up at idle.
  21. which cable? there are two sensors on the metering head and another on that valve on the back of the air box, is the maf sensor one of these?
  22. so did you push the wires out of the back of the fuse board where the solenoid plugs in and re-solder them?
