  1. im on the verge of purchasing some coilovers for the raddo and wanted to sort out the wheel alignment on the rear whilst i was at it. i looked into wheel spacers and thought it would be a lot easier and safer to space between the sub axle and rear beam as i see a few people have mentioned. i was basicly wondering wether anyone has the means to produce a set or has produced a set? i am a certified machinist but as i don't have a milling machine or know anyone who owns one im a bit stuck as they dont sell these. i don't yet have the dimensions as the cars still in one piece if anyone knows the pitch of the bolt holes and rough lengths? thanks :D hers some pics that i found 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfIMAG0065.jpg[/attachment:yk09q9co] IMAG0193.jpg[/attachment:yk09q9co]
  2. ooooh looks lovely mate, wondering whether to do the same and get some cheepy coilovers off ebay, its between those ones or the jom's but apparently there the same, just in blue. whats the ride like? as long as its not hideously bouncy/bumpy il go for it :D
  3. just spotted a Grey G reg from the train as it was pulling into Hillsea station in Portsmouth, it was parked up next to the train lines round the back of the industrial estate. adds a smile to a long journey :D

if it the gasket between the upper and lower then it shouldn't be a problem to file it down as long as it fits the outside diameter, i take it the inside diameter on the gasket is to small? (better to have the right parts tho, well done VW! :thumbleft:) if its the gasket that goes between lower and the head then they are the same.
  5. spotted a red G plate corrado today on my walks, was parked down the road from me in southsea/portsmouth. looked pretty standard and the spoiler was up.
  6. sweeeet! with attention to detail like that it will be well worth it, good luck with the remaining build. will keep an eye on your progress as youv got a good thread going here :thumbleft:
  7. nice work dude, looks like its guna be a corker! just read through all 20 pages. will you be able to drive it when its finished?
  8. ran some k-seal through mine to stop the radiator from leaking till i can afford a new one, no more leaks so far :) (knock on wood) spent the last 3 years trying to get mine running right with not much joy. is there someone professional that can do the job?
  9. no snow here again, just alot of rain. where the crushed snow was left had turned into ice and its bloody murder trying to walk anywhere. some great pics going up still
  10. i live in shame every day :( oh dear, thought we would have had more than that!
  11. thanks for the uploads everyone. looking good in the snow! :D
  12. there was a sufficient dusting here in pompey, thought there might be a fair amount out in the sticks......
  13. Im away from mine at the moment so i cant take any photos. :( a corrado covered in snow is always a cool pic 8)
  14. theres a green vr6 storm parked on london road just down from the giddy, very nice it is too!
  15. na not me buddy, may have spotted that one a few weeks ago tho. see a black c parked on the driveway round the corner from me in dibden purlieu alot aswell.
  16. i got hold of some second hand mk3 calipers and carriers for the gti and got the g60 four stud disks. your right i think, they are 280's. make a hell of a difference! :D
  17. spotted an aqua blue going out of southampton on the M271 earlier as i was going in. looked cool 8)
  18. na not too loud. kind of a low burble at idle and not a lot of noise whilst accelerating. alltho my mate heard me pull up earlier 8)
  19. yea, got them to weld a bit of pipe in the gap between the clamps so it removes as a section if i ever do need to put a silencer back on. because the pipes where offset the fabbed pipe is like an s bend. slightly better flow now aswell.
  20. sorted it today, its not too loud but loud enough :norty: sort of inbetween standard and system. i think its actualy quieter on the inside of the car! would recommend as a quick fix as im sure suitcase silencers arnt cheep. il post if it brakes
  21. i did notice that the aftermarket systems didn't have this silencer which it what gave me the idea. its costing me £35 quid so i thought i would just see if anyone knew of any problems that would arise although this is inevitable with a corrado :) . will give an update on noise and performance....
  22. the suitcase silencer on my 2l 16v has broken where the pipe enters and its been blowing and making a right racket :gag: was just thinking of deleting it completely seeming as the air flow is a lot better than it was (she flies :D ) and its cheeper..... has anyone done this before? is it a bad idea/good idea? thanks, dom.
  23. just seen a silver corrado at the lights at the end of london road going the opposite way, looked over so i waved. Bit embarrassed as i haven't washed mine due to the weather and it sounds like a tank as the exhaust is broken :gag:, looked good tho. Its too easy to get addicted to the forum when you have internet on your phone.
