  1. Could a mod move this at your convenience, I appear to have posted this in the wrong sub forum :D
  2. As per these threads: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?98216-Black-leather-heated-Recaro-interior-what-is-it-worth http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?91869-Some-advice-about-selling-my-1995-Blackberry-VR6 http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?86336-Jays-Blackberry-VR6-project-amp-16v-Recaro-donor-car I've owned the car since 2014, and in that time I have fitted the Recaro interior, and had the entire car resprayed. Unfortunately, the preparation for the paint job was not up to the job, and as a result the car has ended up with microblisters over the entire body. It had been my intention to pursue compensation through the courts, but I'm starting an apprenticeship with Volvo on Monday, need an affordable runabout, have too many other things on at the moment, and would honestly just like to get this whole sorry affair over and done with. The car will need taking away on a trailer, as it has stood for over a year, and the tyres are knackered (didn't want to put new tyres on it until I knew what was happening with the paintwork), and the battery is dead. The engine starts up perfectly though with a jump, and while there is some noise from the hydraulic tappets on cold start (it is a vr6 after all), there is no chain rattle. The car has covered circa 103k miles. Anyway, I'll be listing it on ebay tomorrow, but thought I'd give you guys first refusal. I'll take £2400 cash so long as it is gone before the end of the weekend. The interior alone is worth a large chunk of that, and it also has very good condition wheels (refurbed just before I stopped using it). At this price it's either a good base for a high end project, a cheap way of sourcing a Leather Recaro interior, or sell the interior and have a very cheap, low miles VR6 project.
  3. Quick update, my circumstances have changed enormously since I posted this thread, and I start an apprenticeship with Volvo on Monday, so would like to sell the Corrado as it is so that I buy a cheap run around, and not have to commute to work (25 miles a day) in my Supra in this weather. I will be putting the car up on ebay tomorrow, but thought I would give you guys first refusal. I will take £2400 cash for the entire car, so long as it is gone by the end of the weekend. The interior alone is worth a large chunk of that, and it also has very good condition wheels (refurbed just before I stopped using it). 4. They really are incredible things. The build quality compares to any of the golden era Mercedes, BMW's or Audi's. Sadly Toyota are discontinuing a lot of the parts for them now, so they are becoming very expensive to run. :( This is mine :)
  5. I wouldn't be surprised if there the odd one in the US with that kind of mileage. My main car passion is Toyota Supra's, and there's quite a few over 200k here, but in America there quite a few 300k+ cars, and even one 500k+ one! :D https://www.motor1.com/news/78337/a-toyota-supra-in-tennessee-has-racked-up-520000-miles/ They are among the best built and engineered cars in existence though.
  6. No, never covered. :) Was always in the open for weeks after being sprayed, and then went under a car port when not in use.
  7. No offence taken :) I was just trying to manage people's expectations properly. If someone want's a brand new set, they should buy a re trimmed set. If they want a very nice set of used seats, with the original high quality grained leather, with a decent patina (for want of a better word), then these are perfect. :)
  8. I think considering they are at least 22 years old, they are in very good order. Yes, of course they are used seats, and so they are not perfect, but in the context of their age and use, I doubt there are *many* better sets around (although it sounds like VAG-hag might have some), especially in fully working order. Another benefit of these is they seem to free up a bit more leg room in the back compared to the regular seats. I had 4 adults in mine to London and back in a weekend (a 400 mile trip from here), and even my friend say behind me was comfortable. Good bit of design by VW / Recaro :)
  9. They aren't museum pieces, but they are very good. I'll have to get some proper pics in the next few days, but this is what I have saved on the computer
  10. They seats are a completely different design to the regular leather seats. On the leather seats, 'Recaro' is embossed into the back rests.
  11. It's a blackberry VR6 with 100k on the clock (maybe slightly over). Interior as above, recently refurbished stock wheels. But it needs a full respray, as when I had it painted a couple of years ago, they seeminly got moisture in the paint, which has resulted in micro-blisters all over the car, so it needs a full respray. Not sure how much it is worth in the current condition, but I'm aiming to get a settlement from the painter as the car would be worth £9k IMO if it was as it should be.
  12. There's a set of cloth ones here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-CORRADO-HEATED-ELECTRIC-BACKREST-AND-HEIGHT-RECARO-SEATS-GOLF-MK1-MK2/272515685208?_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3Dfd59f986eee64dc894e8793aced10e86%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D272047129962&_trkparms=pageci%253Ae0aa2c1b-3348-11e7-87e1-74dbd180ceef%257Cparentrq%253Ae3e965c115b0ab6bf8c144dfffffcdce%257Ciid%253A1 I take it that's a ridiculous sum for tatty cloth ones? I was hoping they were worth in the £2k ballpark, but I honestly don't know as I've seen so few come up for sale lately, hence this thread. Sorry to say I wouldn't let them go for around the £1200 mark, removing them would knock too much of the value of the car to be worth it. They would be complete with all the wiring, heated seat switch etc.
  13. I'm not looking for bids :D But I would hope it is worth more than that really.
  14. Just wanting to know what you guys think this is worth. Had paintwork issues with the car after having it sprayed, and I'm having to take the guy to court. But i'm going back into education in a few weeks, and really need to free up some funds for a little runabout. Everything works (electric heating and movement), and it's in very good order. It has minimal wear on the outer drivers side bolster, but it's about as good as you'll find for an original, non retrimmed set.
