h6 vwc

the bracket and tensioner numbers vw gave me for the 2.8 v6 4motion are: bracket 022 260 087 d tensioner 022 145 299 d...... also is everybody running the 24v pas pump pulley....vw parts gave me the following pulley: 038 145 255 b.....cud somebody please confirm if this is the correctone. thanks

hi all, i have my 12v engine out and side by side with my r32 lump....what exactly have you swapped over from the vr to the r32.......i have so far the thermostat housing and coolant pipes aswell as the flywheel/clutch......what else needs swapping too? thanks

well my exams finish the 22nd may, im doing all the mechanicals which hopefully wont take more than a week, then over to SWICT for the wiring/ remap..hopefully middle of June will be complete!! fingers crossed....i'll be about in it somewhere..... :D

hi all, this is my vr6......1994 AQUA Blue, 140k, black heated leather, tinted red rears, 3 pc jap split rims, supersprint cat back, badgeless grill.......to be fitted: mk 5 r32 engine...wavetrac LSD, coilovers....cant wait till the end of the month! needs..aero wipers, german plates, an alarm!! oh and a front bumper lower grill if anybody has one....thanks

alryt no probs mate, jus let us kno wen ur ready. its ok 35mm down, looks nice, no real clearance issues...stiffer ride but handles better. dc2 :D

oh, the shock absorber is the strut/ damper ....what the spring sits in...the lowering spring is the actual coil spring, it lowers the car by 35 mm....sorry for my crap explanation been revisin all day an ma heads a mess lol

hi mate, i just bought some coilovers so am wanting to change my suspension...i currently have good standard shocks (no leaks) with 35mm spax lowering springs...would be looking at £15 to 20 a corner if u were intersted...but the snag is ive got exams these following 2 weeks and wouldnt be able to change em over til the 22nd may....thanks

hey, does anybody know /have ETKA that would be able to tell me if the wiring with plugs both side of a mk5 r32 accelerator pedal can be bought from VW? the guy i got my engine of threw in the pedal but he has chopped the wire going into the loom! :cuckoo: also i think he has broken the plastic mounting clips! any1 know the part number for the floor mounted bracket the pedal attaches to? thanks very much for all help atif

thanks mate, with the same manifolds it would stand to reason that the manifold to downpipe flanges will be the same? also is everybody running spal slimline fans on r32 conversions? what size and 1 or 2?

alryt, hoping for some help from the 24v guys, a bloke near me is breaking a mk5 r32 and has all the parts as yet. for my conversion i have so far worked out i will need: engine, ecu, engine loom, loom into cabin, accelerator pedal, 2 pre-cat lambdas? im gonna keep the vr exhaust with a decat and keep 5spd o2a box. im aware ill need a 2.8 bracket as the mk5 uses electric pas, and also an 'fpr' as it has no fuel return. im gonna get the r32 exhaust mani and hopefully weld a custom 1 for myself. also i think ill need a spal slimline fan hope to have vag-doc wire it up. so was just wondering if im correct as above and is there anything else of the r32 i might need? i read somewhere about the belt tensioner? and is the MAF just needed for audi engines? also has anybody made the r32 oil cooler fit or just gone for a mocal? thanks in advance, atif

hey, does it matter if the r32 engine comes from a dsg car? will it still all run the same? i.e with the vr box .thanks
