Hi mate, I was just wondering is you have any idea when the fk konigsports were fitted to the car?
-
Thats better fella 8) Just needs the lights sorting next but all imho of course!. looking great compared to how it used to thats for sure. Cheers Pete.

Its a 17mm hex socket. drain is easy to spot just in front of the diff housing. Fill is on the front face of the gearbox, look down to the left of the battery when standing from above, you will see it, Easiest way to fill is with a length of hose attached to a narrow squeezy neck 1litre gearbox oil bottle.

Matey, everyone has an opinion  , just to me that would have to be dirt cheap for me to even entertain it. And as for it being worth 6-8k, perhaps if it was mint, thing is knowing BMW's and especially the big engined V's you could spend and thousands on it to get it up and running 100% potentially negating any form of saving over buying a car that has not been laid up for 6 years. Good luck with it mate, youve got bigger balls than me! 8)

Personally i dont think that is cheap for a car that will need totally recomisioning, old bmws dont like being sat around as much as any other car especially outside, If it was 1500 quid then youd take a punt on it but when you can buy a up together 850 with less mileage, admitedly auto for similar money that hasnt been sat for 6 years then to me thats not cheap. Yes its rare in that is manual but that is in my opinion rare for a reason, the autobox suits the characteristics of the engine and car, its a grand tourer. Colour for some will put them off, i actually like it but i can see it will be a marmite colour to sell on. Obviously if you have your heart set on it then go for it but that is not being given away to you price wise imho. Good luck with what you decide. Cheers Pete.

Just saying it looks the same colour as my old e34 M5 3.8, Lagoon Green is rare on an e34 let alone an 850
-
You actually got the colour code?, only reason i ask is it states the 850 in that colour was an auto?
-
Not sure because of the light in the pic but is that Lagoon green??
-
Have to agree with that..... Do they use solid lifters or something? Christ Kev, are you feeling ok??  And yes solid lifters.

As good as the Corrado is i wouldnt be getting rid of a Mk1 Focus RS for one... Of course your going to get biased comments on a Corrado Forum, easiest way to decide if a Corrado is what you want is to drive one.

Z3M is a great car but as you say good ones are creaping up in value, not as good a daily drive as the E46 but still a cracking car if you can get a good one. Alfa 147 Gta is another 'heart' car and an alternative to the R32, they look stunning imho...

Another vote for a GTV V6, i had a 2001 Lusso in Vela blue, most gorgeous looking thing with tan leather. Had to sell it because missus was made redundant, disagree about the Cup though, big price hike for side skirts and different front wings and a few other bits, to me the Skirts spoil the lines and make them look too slab sided, they look aftermarket even though they are factory... And reliablilty believe it or not on the 3 litre is very good, the engines are very strong, the 2 litre is pretty good bar the fact Alfa got the belt service schedule completely wrong to start with, dropped to 30,000 miles now whereas from memory it was 50k to start with, cue lots of belts breaking in the warranty period!! Oh and if you decide to push the budget, E46 M3 will not be beaten for the price as a drivers car, you need to forget the image thing, your doing yourself out of one of the best pieces of Munich engineering, drive one is the only answer, if you can do that and still dismiss it then fair enough...

Other good bit of advice is to try to get to a meet and have a passenger seat in some of the cars to give you an idea of what the chassis mods feel like, But brakes and suspension refresh is good advice. 288 front brakes are a very good cost effective upgrade, its not so much the increased disc diameter (only 9mm) but the much bigger pad swept area that he larger calipers give, the difference is huge. 312's use the same calipers as the 288 but then your getting increased leverage on the size of the discs and the ability to disipate heat more effectively with the bigger discs.

E39 530d is without doubt one ofthe best all rounders bmw have ever made, My Father has a 2003 ie one of the last made 530 dse manual touring with all the kit fitted, he loves the thing, does between 40-44mpg average and that is alot of running around town etc. He has though about replacing it but he would have to dip into his pocket tot he tune of about 10k to buy something newer and with the same spec, he's decidied to run it into the ground now... And the TV set up is great, the updated version has a decent sat nav which can be updated, its got bluetooth etc too...

Id want the price to be 178 for me to be in, i dont see why we cant wait until we have ten definites unless people need the hoses now? Is it not worth a mention on the ccgb forum about this group buy too? Cheers Pete.
