  1. a bit delayed i know but this was over the weekend Gave it a major clean, t-cut and wax and then degreased to engine bay in prep for the shiney inlet manifold to go on. Refited the stereo as it wasn't seated correctly. replaced my door mirror after some idiot kicked it off, changed the oil and fitted new HT leads...... Rain X'd the windows she is sweet as a nut, just get her through the MOT tomorrow!
  2. Evening all, just a quick one, need to tap in to those resource brains on here, need to get so new HT leads and i thought while i am at it i'll get some performance ones, any one know where i can get a set of performance red HT leads from?? Also while i am at it, doing the engine bay up that is, do they do samco hoses for a 1.8 valver? i can only find ones for the G60 and VR6..... 3. failed and three advisories! Near side steering rack gaitor needs replacing, Off side rear bonded bush has failed, new required advisory near side headlamp not at full power. near side rear bended bush may be at risk due to off side fail small ding in one alloy - didnt think that would be an advisory! never mind shouldnt be too expensive!
  4. i must admit i agree that speed cameras are necessary, and the ductch hid their cameras in wheelie bins and the like and have very little speeding offences. I still think it is wrong though, its the welshpolice being over zealous as usual! I germany the speed limits on the local roads are respected as the autobahns are open and a place to make time up by letting the car reach some decent speeds........ its a bit or agree and disagree situation....... Outside schools and public places (parks, town centres) yes, in the country side no!
  5. Well its that time again, the beloved nugget has gone for her MOT, fingers crossed everybody!

  9. I get up this morning to find that some low life C**t has destroyed the passenger side wing mirrow on my C! it was parked in a car park in bristol and they have walked around the car and kicked off the passenger one instead of the drivers one which is nearest the road/pavement! Can we not have anything these days without some T**t braking it!! If anybody has or knows anyone with a passenger mirror for a C let me know ARSEHOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (not you lot, the idiots that do this $hit
  10. no, i dont know who actually makes them, they were on it whn i parted with the cash, they say Fittipaldi" on the centre caps, which are bolted on, not just clipped, want to get them refurbed but got nothing to run the car on while they are done!
  11. MFA issues

afternoon all, 8) Been having an issue with my MFA, the MPG section reads 99.9 mpg anyone know what could be causing this?? Also my boss at work has an MK1 gti and his MFA is reading about 16 mpg, but thats between a half or third of the actual consumption.....little help would be grand fellas!!!! Another quickee, anyone got a diagram of the Fuse box, ei which fuse is for which relay? sweet
  18. Sorted, whoever suggested the spade connection would be the winner of 10 points in this category......and i am an engineer, the have a go type, so basically i wouldnt go to the garage unless it was on the back of an AA truck 8) now now children less of the arguing, didnt want to start a war
  19. er not had my rado long but it did something strange last night and today, was driving it pretty hard and went into a round about, accelerated out of the apex and as i did the car begin to make a beep, beep, beep sound, any ideas anyone??
  20. i've had mine for about 3 weeks, drive from bristol to boscombe down in wiltshire everyday and toady i was followed by traffic for 10 miles, didnt get pulled over, I think its all based on the copper, you'll get one that will do you for 43 in a 40 zone, give a parking ticket to his gran.....but then you get the ones that use common sense and say as long as they can read it from the required distance they dont mind! Speaking to a copper in traffic based at North bristol (M4/M5 jct.) that i know he said they treat it like the bike helmet tinted visors, if you can replace them there and then and it is safe to do so, ie not on the hard shoulder of the motorway, they will just give you a warning and a producer. i have a set in the boot, still dirty from when they were on so i can just swap them over. pressed plates are the way forward!!!
  21. Afternoon all, Just found this link http://www.scirocco.lv/teh/16V_1.pdf the Latvian Scirocco club have it on there site, very kind of them to take it off the CD and host it.
