  1. 139000 and still driving nice :D these engines are really something special aren't they...
  2. i've had over 4oo miles to a full tank on a long cruise - and i wasn't doing the speed limit if you know what i mean... but then it does cost me £50 a tank and not £40..???
  3. Is your C a VR6 ?? if so I have an FK Koenigsport Fully adjustable kit for sale - check out parts for sale.
  4. Whining noise could be the PS Pump or a badly worn PS belt. Has he not got receipts for work carried out on the engine..?

    Corrado cuts out!

I've had similar problems, but before anything else try changing the No: 53 Relays in the fuse box - they sustain the power to ignition, but if you have a faulty one the car can cut out. Only a few quid from VAG Good Luck
  6. I've got FK Konigsport Kit on myVR - excellent kit, but sadly maybe selling my car soon  - ibut I'll be selling the kit separate, if anyones interested drop me an email. They are only 2 months old!
  7. I have a set of FK coilovers - with Konigsport dampers and FK springs - they are an excellent kit as you will find from chatting with some other guys who have them. Due to disasterous personal circumstance I may be selling my car, but I am taking the kit off - i've only had the kit for 5-6 weeks, virtually new. Do your research, if your interested let me know - obviously you will be paying less than buying them new. I haven't priced them up yet but they rrp at upwards of £600. James Turner on the yahoo corrado group forum will vouch for the quality and condition of the kit as we put it on not long ago.
  8. I've invested in FK coilovers fully adjustable - nice kit, easy install and very good quality. FK do a cheaper kit around £450-500 that lowers by 30-40mm and has damp adjustment only - Try Gwent VW - they had them on special a few weeks back. T/A Koni's & H&R's are also a good option
  9. Its almost evil whats been done to that car - I only looked at one image, can't bring myself to look at the rest
  10. its a cam chain on the VR's - they normally last forever. Apparently It wrks on a self tensioning mechanism to prolong their life, i.e. its slack at first start and gradually tigtens up which is why they are a little noisy in the mornings. I've got 136,000 on my VR, and my brother has 180,000  originals cam chains in tact
  11. Spring mounts changed in 93 - post 93VR's have more tightly coiled springs compared to earlier VR's which had slightly shorter and fatter springs.
  12. I'll be there (sunday probably) - bringing down my H&R springs too if anyone's interested in buying them.
  13. Its worth spending good money on the suspension, Koni's or coilovers are the ones to go for. Forget the Avo's they'll shatter your spine!!

    smooth idling VR6

some definitely idle smoother than others but generally there is a light flutter. One other thing to check out is the engine mounts, if they are badly worn there will be vibration caused by engine rocking - lift the bonnet and watch it idle when warm, if there is visible rocking you may need to change em.
  15. My mates done it to his BMW, come up a treat, one thing to watch out for on Corrado's - mask-up the rubber seals otherwise they'll get torn to shreds, and we know how expensive they can be (I'm sure a reputable place would do it anyway). It'll be good as new!!
