i've got a couple of suggestions for you well if you dont cut them you can use blockers on the lines that screw in and look like a crimped brake pipe attached to a screwing mechanism or just use mole grips on each line till your ready to replace them (fold and clamp) i'm sure if theres better options, the guys on forum won't be long to set you straight lol :)

hey guys i'm gonna try the aux belt off and the powder ideas. my belt is a pattern one but the thing is it made this noise on the old belt and the new one. who would've thought powder mite solve this lol

if it is on the aux belt then is it alternator and power steering pump can be only issues or is there others?

i'm gonna give that a go in the morning. a mechanic friend though it was alternator but never had time to look at it

makes no difference at all, i installed the tensioner clockwise. this is such a random thing. i did have no powersteering fluid in my car at some point put since was filled and air bubbles removed. the noise doesn't change with steering only with revs could it be anything to do with headgasket at all, just wanted to eliminate this as was quite worried. i don't see how though

i say go for it and if your selling the leather interior after the purchase then dibs lol. you'll make your money back, i did the same for my old g60 and got more in parts than i paid for it. so i assume u should be able to aswell just try and make sure that the body work is good so you can shift the panels on easily or sell it stripped out as rolling shell. well thats my opinion anyway

hey guys i think what i did for my rado today was just short of a marathon and it wont stop till monday lol. here goes..... it began at 8am and i've only got 3 days to do this lol otherwise i have to drive a corsa and no dubber should be subjected to such a punishment :shock: i installed a set of fk coilovers and bbs rm splits first then all hell brakes loose lol 1. exhaust manifold was blowing, off comes the intake and exhaust manifolds to solve the issue 2. exhaust manifold studs snap flush with head 3. off comes the head inc alternator 4. i stud extracted broken studs out of head and got the head skimmed and cleaned up the block 5. i put new head gasket on and bolted the head up and manifolds, timed it up (new belt btw), only to find one of the headbolts have stripped the block of it's thread and im gettin f*** all compression in chamber 2 and 3 6.off comes the head and manifolds again 7. helicoiled the block, cleaned all the swarf and carried on again 8. 2nd set headgasket and headbolts now being used, head and manifolds and everything were bolted back up 9. need to tdc the bottom end tomorrow and do an oil change and install a mocal oil cooler along with an entire sound system inc head unit, 6 x speakers , 2x amps, a sub, parametric eq, powercap, and all associated wiring. after that ive got to set my height and camber correctly on the suspension and mot, tax and insurance and i'll be done. any body think i'll make it or monday? lol :lol: the only reason ive stopped is my brain is willing but body needs rest lol by the way anyone know how to wire a turbo timer in a g60 and i know how to connect a boost gauge but would like to know if theres any ways to do it with out removing the dashboard lol. cheers guys pics and stuff to follow, when i'm finished lol

i know the pipe your on about and i'll check tomorrow but pretty sure i put a bolt in that pipe and tied it off. i think it was for the lines attach to the carbon canister under the original air box. have you still got your CO pot?

hey mate, a crossover has a speaker input from the headunit/amp and terminals for a tweeter and a speaker (woofer cone). a tweeter and speaker are connected to crossovers so each speaker will only play a controlled range of frequencies. its there for clarity/definition and more control of your sound, and also to reduce speaker distortion. you get crossovers on amps in the form of hpf and lpf (high pass filter and low pass filter) you get the same in some car stereos if you look at the time i wrote this you could imagine im half awake but call on 07872841050 - kiran, if u want a hand
