Took it for a spin today and jet wash after winter hibernation. Interior is almost completed, still needs few bits to fit and some cleaning. All lights were changed as well. Rear strut brace fitted, improved handling on corners a lot.

When you do that you are very welcome to fix my one :)

Looks very very nice. When can I see it in real on Aberdeen streets again ?? -
Corrado is on classic insurance policy 220 quid a year, for early S3 I got quotes around 850 marks for late ones after 2002 circa 1300 pounds. Corrado is safe so far :)

Did own one for only 2 months and it was great car but had a lot of mods including gt28rs. Just checked insurance on them and not really fancy paying 6 times more than for a corrado.
-
Would you swap your Corrado VR6 for Audi S3 mk1 ?? Give me your for and against, my one are: For - powerfull 1.8t engine - faster than vr6 and better on fuel - quattro system - better driveability - more comfortable - very easy to tune up Against - doesn't sound so good as VR6 - its not a one of car, not a classic car

Sam thing for long time now, never thought I will enjoy driving TDI as a daily and Corrado was started for the first time last Sunday after 6 months hibernation. Classic insurance, limited mileage but you always can use 2 different clocks :) Full storage of parts to rebuild it, huge bill burning my pocket, you fix something before putting it to storage over the winter to find out it won't work when you take it out for the first time. Not driving it every day as you use to do as TDI uses only quarter of petrol to do same distance.

Got many of them In the past few months been buying new stuff for our new kitchen and stuff like bosch integrated cofee machine for 350 quid, RRP 950, Miele integrated microwave for 250 quid RRP 1250, induction hob by neff 250 quid, RRP 760 quid. All brand new in boxes with guarantee. Lots of corrado parts 18" Porsche ETA BETA TURBO alloys for 580 quid, they going for over 1500 quid Best bargain was 3,5 years ago when I got myself Audi S3. It was fully repaired cat C with forged engine and full Garrett GT28 turbo conversion running 360 ps, HR coilowers, custom exhaust and many many many more. Turned out that chassis was badly repaired and broken it on parts after 2 month fun in it. Paid 3600 pounds + around 250 for petrol and plane ticket to get it from London. after 2 weeks of my holidays spent in garage to brake it I sold everything for bit over 9000 pounds so 5000 pounds in my pocket. That was a real bargain. I know 2 women who are unemployed because they are rising their children's and making around 800 quid each month of ebay looking for bargains and then resell it for more.

Dent nearly removed by suction pad. Went to two body shops today and both said that dent won't come out and quotes were 650 and 900 quid to fix it. Seen the guy who did the damage and then we pop up to some small body shop down the road and 15 seconds later doors looks much better. Still small visible dent but for the peace with local low lives I can live with that. Will try to fix it anyway when my tools arrive. Now have to sort out my windscreen after 8 years old boy decided to jump on it couple of months ago. 50 quid windscreen excess and will do this from my insurance.
-
Had a second thoughts about all situation. No matter what I do it cost me money. I'm hoping that boy is going to pay, even 25 quid a week and will sort it out myself. Found another door in matching color for around 60 quid including petrol for TDI to pick them up. Just waiting for pictures from seller to see in what condition they really are. Will try to pull the dent myself anyway as done it before, not that big but will see. Even if I have to pay from my own pocket it will be less than 100 quid. I'm using two cars and if my premium goes up I will have to pay the money anyway. Hoping he will pay
-
Yes, normally I will but its all about safety. It's a bunch ow low lives living around and if I will do this I can except that more damage will be made to my car by them. Guy is already paying 2,5 grand insurance for his car and if I will do this his insurance will go up the sky, so..... For my personal peace I will try to sort it out without insurance as don't really like any more damage to be made to my car in revenge.
-
I think I have no choice but fit some in my window pointing straight on my car but problem is I can't always park it in same spot :(
-
Thanks for a good words. Guy who run into my car is a neighbor living few flats away on same street. Another neighbor was looking on her kids playing around when it happened so she saw everything and gave me a call telling who did it. I've manage to find another blackberry door on ebay about 120 miles away so it should be easy fix, of course if he going to pay for everything, if not I will do it threw insurance and he will pay a lot more as he is already paying 2500 a year for insurance so can imagine how much they will ask for a renewal.
-
Its not finish yet !!!!!!!!!!!! Half an hour later got a phone call from my neighbor that somebody reverse in my car and run away. Another low life but this time made him to write it on paper that he will pay for the damage. Will go to body shop on Monday to find out how much it will be. He offered 25 quid a week, if not I will fix it threw his insurance. Saturday not finished yet, so what next ... ??

Found some nasty surprise today's morning. Lots of builders walking around doing bathrooms and kitchens in councils flats and probably one of them manage to spill some glue on my car. Can't prove anything so spent all morning cleaning it and destroying my paintwork a little bit. Paint wasn't good but it's not a reason to make it worst :( Bonnet, bumper, lights, windscreen, roof, passengers doors all covered in stone hard glue

dremel is very useful where there is no space for normal drill.

Thanks but mk3 runners are much different so to much to do o make them fit. ---------- Post added at 1:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 1:00 PM ---------- This is one of the option, second is to paint them beige and do rear in carbon, not a wrap a real carbon, another idea is to swap all leather in black and do all possible plastic in carbon but it takes so much hours of work to do so probably will do them in beige and paint rears in blackberry.
-
I did a lot of leather refurbish and recolor and know how to play with it. It's possible but hard as lot's of paint is needed but if you use to much paint it will crack after some use.
-
Will fit them when I find some runners, so far no luck in UK and Germany, one in US but 500 quid, not a chance I'm paying that. Found a set in Poland but waiting for respond. If won't find anything will try to look for golf 2 ones, heard its possible to cut them apart and weld again making them go lower. They are siting 15mm higher than corrado ones.
-
Found a metal polish paste and gave it a tray on outer lips. Went very well. Best what can be done without taking alloys apart. They could do with centers respray but not this year.

german ebay, only hope but pricy
