does anyone know the SKF kit number?
-
yeah but they also charge markup and i can get the bearings free through work...

Hi all, another little issue with my little vr6 - i think one of my front wheel bearings is broke - i get a squealing and a general background wheel bearing noise. I am going to get a garage to do the work i think - i'd have to get it pressed in anyway i guess? but i need the part numbers for the wheel bearings kits i need to order? does anyone have etka or know the number i need? Cheers.

36mpg?! i reckon i can get a max of 32/33 in my VR on a motorway run and this is driving like a eunuch. pretty impressed with that tbh mate. i am another rado midlander - stoke on trent - i regularly see a blue rado driving near leek but dont see too many rados round here...

ok, seems fair enough if this is a common issue - thanks for the continued reassurance boost monkey

It doesn't look so good and if i go into a big pothole (obviously, I'm avoiding them like the plague) i guess it is dropping back into the turret and dropping the suspension quite hard. not really happy with it and want to get it fixed up so i was thinking of getting my friend to lathe a shorter spring top that will allow me to tighten down to the turret. could this problem be solved another way or has anyone done anything similar?
-
Hi all, I fitted my new suspension (KONI springs and dampeners) and bought all new parts detailed on the ETKA system including threaded bush etc etc, I now have this problem: The spring tops sit about 15mm above the turrets under the engine bay (see picture) Is this a problem that anyone else has ever had? I can't seem to get the tops to sit square and tighten down onto the top of the turret, I am thinking of getting a bespoke machined part made to replace the (new) spring tops (part5 on ETKA model below) but i dont think this should be necessary, it should fit! I'm going to get in touch with KONI but wondered if anyone had any advice?

to be honest, you're probably right and it will probably be deleted but i dont see a problem - its no different from using some dodgy russian site and also i use my software to check part numbers and assemblies and then buy VAG products so everyones happy ;)

I bought my car from TCS, which in hindsight probably wasn't the best idea but to be honest - other than a few little things, the car has been sound. he is a bit of a miserable bastard and was never that helpful when ever i've got in tocuh for parts and obviously, hes going to be trying to rip u off if u sell to him. my verdict: hes a bit of a cowboy but he sorted me with my first vr, so i shouldnt complain too much.

-
yeah - car came without handbook - looking to buy one but havent seen 1 4 sale yet...
-
yeah - i just needed to work out how to use the wipers, no actual problems! got a spare rear wiper motor now though haha :(
-
Hi everyone, i've got a problem on 95 VR6 with the rear wipers - had the car for about 3 weeks and the rear wiper has never worked, i instantly presumed it was the rear wiper motor and have ordered another BUT last night, when it was raining, i noticed that the rear wiper was actually working!!! i dont know what i pressed but i have tried everything to get them to come back on and nothing works. also - when i had them on that once, i could only turn them off by turning off the ignition? does anyone have any ideas whats causing this cos its obviously not the motor as it worked that once! is it my stalk control perhaps - any other ideas? thanks for your help, Joe
