for sale 1994 vr6 aqua blue pearl m975tba
Foxster replied to hodges75's topic in Cars for Sale [Corrado]
I am also interested if it is still available (guessing it's not though). -
I found it! The same owner has it and it is in for paint! Oh the joys (it worries me how happy this makes me).

Hi all, Firstly, please forgive me if this is not posted in the correct section. I am looking for my old Mystic Blue Storm, I sold it back in 2009 (I think). It was a cracking car and was totally original. The milage was high but it never missed a beat! I sold it to a chap from Manchester who I believe was a member on here. I have tried emailing him recently but I have had no reply. According to the DVLA website it was SORN in September this year. Registration M110 LBB... I know I sound like a stalker but I always regretted selling this car, here's to hoping...

Exactly what I thought too, I will stick to my guns. The R32 "upgrade" just seems such a cost effective move now and I can see a lot of people going that route. Cheers guy's.

Hey all, I have been pondering on an R32 transplant but I don't want to do it to the Storm because it is just too original and is full of history. I had the car for sale but then decided to keep it and have had a lot of interest since. What is general feel about such a thing? i.e. Restore the Storm as original and later buy a cheap Rado for the transplant? I was also considering advertising for a swap rather than selling, maybe for regular VR6? I know the Storm is not really any different but it more the history of the car and the originality that I think is worth keeping and the "Storm" badge just add's that little extra. Any advice would be welcomed, Jamie

If these are still available I would like one. Thanks! Jamie

Thats fantastic, it will all help as I will take a copy of this thread down to the garage with me tomorrow (hopefully as having a a nightmare with some parts that i ordered). Also I think the car looks much cleaner without the side/bump strips. Did you replace all screws along the way as all the headlight fixings etc on the slam panel on mine as just rust but I have purchased the majority but just found it pointless to switch them now when its getting dismantled to be sprayed. Oe more question... Who took the windows out? Autoglass (or similar)? We discussed this and he said he would get Autoglass in but i'm just curious as to how you went about it. You are going to get me harrassing you with questions from now on :( , I will try and retain myself! Thanks for that though, I'm sure it will help me and many others! **EDIT** See it has started already... Q) And how long did the full job take (including set backs etc). Again sorry for the interrogation but this is all new to me. :D

Yep the Corrado Club of Great Britain. It's not so much a forum, although we do have a members only section on our web site, but a 'real life' club. We have stands at all the major shows and are happy to help anyone who wants to arrange stands at more local shows or even to arrange a local meet. We issue a half yearly club magasine along with newsletters to keep members up to date on club activities and have club merchandise etc. Our web site is corradoclub.org although it is a 'little' out of date. We are however working hard behind the scenes to get a more user friendly maintainable site and the volunteers to maintain it. Things are progressing :) Many club members and committee alike use here, the Corrado Forum, so you will see the CCGB mentioned quite a bit. We would love to have you join us too. We are not in competition with the Corrado Forum, more on a 'slightly different parallel' I see, I will definately have a look. I have heard it mentioned before but as I am only just really getting into the forum/club side of things online I have never came across it. Sounds interesting though. :notworthy:

That would actually be good Walesy, It would save you raking through your CD wallet (full of cd's) to find one of the five cd's that you ever actually listen to! I have never seen a Golf with one!
-
CCGB, sorry to sound dumb but is that the Corrado Club? I have joined edition38! I have never really been into forums but I like this one, is the Corrado Club one as good!?
-
What sort of tunes do you like then? Got some 90's rock music for authenticity in mine :D That would be great, do me a copy :D And maybe some Johnny Cash?
-
Lovely car, you have taken the route that I am hopefully taking. My mirrors need replacing too! Dam things. I am glad to have read this topic as it gives me some assurances over my plans. Great work and top job, you are a lucky man.
-
I actually quite like it, cassettes remind me of retro! I might even get some cassettes so I can use the box!
-
It might sound strange but I thought i recognised it with the Borbet's on. Your car is one of the reasons I wanted one. I couldn't find the magazine to check if it was yours. Very nice car, actually looks even better with the BBS's on, I didn't think it could look any better. Nice to see how far it has come along, good work. 8)

g60greeny, I am taking this purely from my useless memory but... Was your car in the readers section of PreformanceVW a few months back?
-
Yeah coullstar I have the respray pretty much booked in, includes windows out because that was really what I wanted and the bloke that is doing it for me pretty much refused to tape round them. I know he does a top job because he has done jobs for me before although not on this scale. I have seen the his other jobs too though and its fair to say its as good as you could get (touch wood as I don't have much luck!). He is sort of a friend of the family so he is doing it for a fair price too which is a bonus. Yeah I have looked vwdeviant, I'm opting for the Bilstein coilovers but until the body work is done I will go for the struts. I would just like it a little bit lower and more natural looking. Its one of my two favourite storm colours too! ha, I like that one  . Defo was a dealer option on Storms to have the Tape + 10 stack. When my old boy bought his first one he had an extensive tape collection he wanted to keep!! Great car & great price!! Your front end looks better than mine & mines only got 68k!! :( Well it would have been strange if it never because I have all the original manuals for the cd player etc, I guess it's kind of a relief knowing that it is original though . The front end is covered in stone chips so maybe the photo does the car too much justice! It comes up OK after a polish though I suppose! I wish mine only had 68k on the clock though :( .

I think this is the first time I have seen your car, looks great, the wheels are awesome. Top job 8)
-
Just got the car back from a service today, unfortunately im going to have to buy a front caliper (so might aswell get a pair), a strut (again, might aswell get a pair) and a bottom arm (get them both again), apart from that he said he could not believe the car has covered the miles it has, just wear and tear I suppose, things that I should never have to replace again. It has has new oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, ignition leads, front discs, rear discs, front pads, rear pads, fully synth' high mileage oil and is getting front struts, front calipers and bottom arms. I'm finding that Corrado's really do make you broke! It's all fun I guess :(
-
Looks great, i'm liking the wheels a lot. Looking very clean too!
-
It's still fairly light outside, get some photo's up! :)
-
Nice colour, nice car... :norty:
-
Yeah I just checked the extra's list and the disc changer is on there so maybe they just wanted one like you said? The back end of the car is great apart from the rust near the badges, it's all the stone chips to the front, it doesn't look very nice! But yeah, hopefully it will look better once it has all been stripped back and sprayed. I might just take a hammer to the cassette holder, that idea of having a nice cubby holder is very appealing! :luvlove:

Looking good even with the bird sh**.
-
Very nice, I wish mine was as clean as that!
