  1. So does that mean I should keep the old infeed open? I thought it would be better to block the old headlight air infeed off to prevent warm air from being sucked in?????
  2. I am in the process of installing a cold air feed and have a question:- On my air box the connecting flange between the back of the headlight and the air box is missing. I propose to blank the old air intake hole completley so that the cold air infeed is the only way into the airbox. Is this a good idea?

    ABS

Yes one sensor per wheel wired to an ECU behind the kick panel in the passenger footwell. The ECU is prone to water damage (usually from leaking screen or fresh air intake). The valve module for the ABS is under the bonnet R/H side at the back of the engine bay. You will also notice on each suspension turret under the bonet a black inline plug. These are connected to the 2 front wheel sensors.

    Door leak

I tried silicone but it did not seam to dry very well as the air could not get it. So i went to Homebase and they had a tube of Evostick wet grab glue (see below) http://www.screwfix.com/prods/54342/Sealants-Adhesives/Adhesives/Grab-Adhesives/High-Performance/Evo-Stik-Wet-Grip-Adhesive-290ml;jsessionid=2DL1ZHNG34JIQCSTHZOSFFI#reviews I used it and stuck on the new plastic sheet, held in it place with some tape while it dried and next day perfect! :D Know more leaks.
  6. I have just had a Chip at G-Werks and the guys there tested my Idle and WOT switches when they set up the car, so from that I assume they must still be used.
  7. Not tried this myself yet but I have to change the hub on my G60 due to one of the wheel nut threads being stripped (previous owner!). So if I undertsand correctly its best to remove the complete assembly and carry out the work on the bench?
  8. Found this thought it may help someone. Good pictorial instructions  http://www.corrado-club.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9170
  9. Hi I have a G60 which is currently fitted with air intake system as shown below:- I wish to return to the standard airbox (which I have) but I do not have the snorkel. What is the best way of feeding air to this box? I had considered cutting a large hole in the bottom and ducting the air from a scoop at the front of the car through the old carbon cannister hole and into the airbox. I was hoping for some help and maybe some pics of the best solution.
  10. Just to close off the issue, this all fixed now. The fault was the ABS ECU. When opened there was water damage (when I got the car the passenger footwell was soaked). If you look at the picture you can see where the circuit board has shorted out against the case. The strange thing about this is the ABS self check worked fine (the light came on/went off) :cuckoo: Many thanks to veedub-dave :salute: for the replacement ECU + other bits :D
  11. I have tried reading the diagnostics with a U281 VW AUDI MEMO SCAN reader. This works fine on the latest Golf and Polo and a MK2 Golf but sadly all I got on the Corrado was "link error"
  12. Look at your first post to me. It says not to post in Newbie as its for introduction's and at the bottom is says "use suppliers forum"
  13. I have a Corrado G60 and I am not sure if the ABS system is working properly. I had to brake hard the other day and the wheels locked up, plenty tyre smoke as well! The car does the nornal thing when it starts the ABS light comes on then goes off again. Can anyone help me out with this?
  14. Cheers lads, all sorted now :-)
  15. Sorry, looking for pin outs and functions for the ISO plug. e.g PIN 1 = BU/WH - ? PIN 2 = NOT CONNECTED - ? PIN 3 = NOT CONNECTED - ? PIN 4 = BN/RD - ? PIN 5 = BK - ? PIN 6 = BU/GY - ? PIN 7 = RD/WH - ? PIN 8 = RD/BN - ?
  16. Does anyone have the pinout for the power iso plug in the Corrado wiring loom. Mines a 1992 G60 UK version if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance :D
