I am in need of the knob that screws onto the top of the door lock that indicates whether the door is locked or not. My passenger side one broke off in the freezing weather when the central locking went mental.

Put the de-cat pipe back on. First time I've had a straight through pipe on with the Jetex cat-back system.......sounds sweeeeeeeeeeeet!

That's genius. Bloody limeys!

Does the Australian toll just count accidents or also people who break down in the middle of nowhere and starve to death?

Where to find your nearest corrado
devilmatt replied to Alex_G60_Fanatic's topic in General Car Chat
Sorry, I'm a bit slow, but could the lord of the map add me on? BN15. Also have a small garage and tools if anyone nearby gets really stuck. -
Do you have any idea how many people die each year from incorrect arse wiping? They won't be totally happy until nobody ever gets hurt doing anything.
-
You must have to really concentrate to stay at 77mph.

I think the smooth running of that part of the M25 is because of the average speed cameras. I've noticed a lot less congestion going through there too. If the limit was 70 and not enforced you would probably be doing 10-15mph, but in a 50 limit with cameras you do 50. I think what it boils down do is that the majority of drivers on the road are pretty bad, jumping on the brakes for no reason, cutting each other up causing others to brake and everyone tripping over each other until you're stopped. I think the only way to ease congestion on the roads is to ban driving. Or ban vehicles. Either would be effective.

Anyone can walk at 70mph but it would take a freak to walk at 80. Valid point.

Just signed up to the corrado database. :-)

Yeah, she's not looking bad for her age. I've decided to go to a show or two this year as I've never been to a be meet before, which is a bit poor of me really. Would be good to meet some "others".

Discounts sound good, as does the extra power as standard, but I had no idea about the possibility of new laws banning any kind of mod though. That would truly suck. I don't think my little runaround is nice enough to be put on any CCGB stands either. Maybe one day. :sigh:

I just joined up to the Corrado Club GB as I have had Cs for years and thought it was about time. On the forum for the first time, I noticed a destinct lack of posts and replies and at the bottom of the page it says there are only 249 members, compared with the 2123 users of this forum. Is there any reason why people don't sign up to the club? Maybe this forum is seen as being the main and most useful source of info and discussion? Or maybe the advantages of being a club member is outweighed by the £10 fee. Who knows? :-/

It was dark and rainy but pretty sure I saw a dragon green C heading north through Lancing about 10 mins ago.
-
Another thing thats worth bearing in mind is that each time I've replaced one myself the tracking has been way off afterwards. Worth checking that the garage quote includes lining it up.

Saw a friendly green M reg VR6 on the M25 yesterday just before 5pm. Also, just before I sat in traffic for an hour as usual. :-/

Dark coloured rado in ruislup, going past RAF Northolt. You have a headlight out. ;-)

Plus, if that was a section about future classics, and now it IS the future, that must mean its a classic.
-
I meant recent relative to the invention of the piston engine. Sorry, I should've been more specific. :-p
-
They did a relatively recent review of a VR6 by Hammond too. Looking at is as a future classic.

That silver 16V sounds awesome! I see what you mean about the FXX. All mouth no trousers. I imagine it would be a different story on a circuit though. Or maybe with a decent driver. :)
-
Ok, it wasn't that large, but still cool.

We also walked the Monaco circuit the day after the race and found a large section of Massa's side pod from where he hit the wall in the tunnel. See photo.

Highlights of the trip for me (probably different to the other halfs) were: Driving the windy roads, and heading towards hairpins with all 4 tyres chirping away, Driving the Monaco GP circuit 2 days after the race, Going to the Ferrari museum at Maranello, Visiting Tamburello corner at Imola to pay my respects to the great man, Visiting the Dijon race circuit, venue to one of F1s all time greatest battles, and drinking my own body weight in beer every 3 days. I would highly recommend all of the above, but make sure you have enough fuel money as you will go through an amazing amount.

I didn't know that about the torque comparison. Just googled Bergrennen G60 and it came up with a couple of wicked little Polos running them. One looked like an old National Hotrod. I'd love to have seen a Corrado G60 up against a VR6 in the VW Cup but I think the days of seeing the older cars running at the front are gone. New Roccos and Beetles seem to be the order of the day now. Would still be good for the classics though.
