  1. Be rude not to have a decent size convoy of uk cars from the ferry to the hotel :-D looking forward to it, seems so far away but it's not and I have so much left to do to the car!!!
  2. Ahhhhh yeah how could I forget that! It's on the front of the Stamford living magazine. I rent through w&m lettings, they were pretty useless!!
  3. I live in Stamford. Never had an issue with leaving the car outside the house, house mates never has an issue with their mk2's and other mates never had issues with corrados, boras, s4. Stamford is more upper class than peterborough is (not trying to sound snobby lol) Lovely town and is a 15mim drive down the a1 into Peterborough. Great scenery around it. Stamford has a classic car show on the meadows every year, burghley house is here too which hosts a massive horse trials every year, rutland water is a short drive too which is real nice and great to cycle round. I moved here from Peterborough, lived in Yaxley before which is 2mins from Hampton...speed bumps there are a pain!! Quicky1980 used to live in Hampton but now lives in deeping st Nicholas. There's a few of us local :-)
  4. Just done it myself. Literally just the head and block that gets changed, I left the kjet stuff in as its easier. All just bolts onto the abf lump. There's a guide on clubgti and edition38 that's really helpful!
  5. What ferry did you book onto?
  6. I may have a need for the head if your willing to split? Will see how the weekend goes first. I'm in Stamford too so would be able to collect :-)
  7. Have 2 kr heads and a kr block that I need to get rid off too as I'm moving house and don't have a garage at the new place. Open to offers on these as I need them gone. Can take photos and give a more detailed description if there's any interest :-) Injectors, sensors, cam cover, isv, sebrings, throttle body and brakes now sold too. Open to offers on everything else :-)
  8. Ahh I know a few people who live in wittering...love the blue mk1 jetta which is always parked near the garage!! I'm not doing ud but will be doing early edition :-)
  9. Ahh fair enough...still a quality motor!! Where abouts in lincs are you from? I'm in Stamford and going to be going to a few meets this year when the cars back in the road :-)
  10. 2 r32 corrado's in Peterborough...fantastic :-D
  11. New location has been released! The event will now be held at Peterborough greyhound stadium which has a lot more room and a pretty new car park and is also a lot more easier to find. Will be fantastic to see cars from the surrounding area, Northampton, Leicester, Cambridge, Lincoln etc... Especially a great turn out of corrado's!! Details of trade stands to soon be released a long with categories for prizes
  12. Not going to make this now :-( still havnt put the new engine in the car yet...infact I'm still building it!! Depending on where the next one is I might make that :-)
  13. Easy with 2 people, slightly more difficult doing it alone even if you are a bit hench! I've done mine with a block of wood under the sump and a jack supporting it. Know many people who have done it that way.
  14. I had to go Vw...gsf and ecp couldn't get hold of one. Didn't try tps though they may be worth a try :-)
  15. Took the kr out to start prepping for the abf conversion :-)
  16. Yeah that's fine dude. PayPal is [email protected]. Pm me your address :-) Sebrings and isv now sold too :-)
  17. Decided to stick the abf in, had to change the gearbox over so thought of do the engine too :) havnt got a spare handle nah. There is a bloke near Cambridge breaking 2 Corrado's though.
  18. Even more of an incentive to get the engine rebuilt and back in the car then. Guess I do have just under 2 weeks! Sam bring the corrado out from hiding mate...stretch her legs after being tucked away for all this time :-D
  19. Once I've got the engine back in my car ill be up for this but this month it's a no for me :-(
  20. Be great to see some Corrado's at the meet!!! We will have AfroZack on the decks and are in the progress of arranging some trade stands and prizes for the show and shine. Had a fantastic turn out at the last mega meet we arranged at Sub 11 so we are going bigger and better with this one!!
  21. That's cool :-) we can meet up with you at harwich or on the a14 en route if so. The official event hotel has now been fully booked
  22. I included all that in my complaint email to them. Had done loads of research on here and clubgti. Can't fault them for offering a refund and replacement part but can only fault them for the time it took for them to respond and the product they say is suitable. Lesson learnt go tps in future pattern parts are cheap for a reason :-)
  23. I've got fk coilovers and found that I only needed to change the top mount and bearing when I done mine, think it depends on what suspension you are using. I sent a complaint email to gsf about the top mounts I brought from them which lasted 5mins. They refunded me and offered me a replacement pair of top mounts (which I didn't bother taking as they are poo) they also said that the weight difference of the mk2 and corrado isn't enough of a difference to cause an issue and they will continue selling the part as they havnt had any other complaints.
  24. He still has that one I believe but no longer lives there. He is on here but can't remember his username. There's also an older bloke with a green vr6 in Peterborough and a mate from pboro has just brought a mulberry one. There's a couple in Stamford where I now live just outside pboro. Becoming common now :-( Swampy are you local then?
