Are the teeth on the cam chain gears worn out?

Hi is there a devinitive list of bits and pieces you need and what to do, to do this conversion, ie use piston from 20v?, thicker gasket?, which turbo is best, exhaust manifold, ecu etc, etc, just wondering, cheers I found this link is the advice any good, http://www.daham.org/16vt/technical/vw16vt/

i have a polo i was going to sell and then buy a ibiza 2.0 16v cupra, but then got to thinking about putting a g lader on the 1.4 16v, the g40 seems alot harder to find then the g60 though, cheers

Right i know this isn't really the place but has any one ever seen a polo (6n chassis) with the 1.4 16v engine (the 100hp one) converted with a g40, like all you guys do with the 1.8 16v g60's,???? cheers

I think Ferrari seem to struggle more then they used to when Schumacher :notworthy: , Brawn and Todt where in charge (oh the good old days)

There seems to be some Ferrari bashing going on here, they weren't the only team to appeal you know, i am glad the result went Brawns way though i hope Button does well, don't forget when Ross was at Ferrari how many rule pushing things they used to try, i belive they thought of the flexi wing which is on the cars this season, and those wheel disc things that all the other car now have, (i miss the glowing brake discs), any way lets not forget the real cheats, aren't they up before the judge soon, :nono:

I think your right in one of he's message replies he said he was into bikes more, and no pictures of engine as his lap top has stoped working, a no brainer i think, cheers again to you all

Hi all, does any one know if vw even did this car, Mk 2 16v 2lt golf gti (190hp), been told only 7 made?, i now they did a 16v g60 model where the front windscreen was bonded in (or something like that) golf limited?, just wondered on this though all help greatly appreciated, cheers

Hi my passengers wiper blade misses and area of the screen, more or less right in the eye line, its as if the screen glass is not flat, i have spoken to a few other owners who say they have same problem, one vrs and one g60, just wondering if this lupo conversion is a fix for this, or generally what can i do, cheers

Hi car has been off the road over the winter, as the heater matrix pumped a gallon of coolant into the cabin :( , have got the head back on, but the header must have been for a left hand drive as it was trying to brake my streering rack when put together :shock: , have now done the heater matrix :cuckoo: , and is back on the road, will be putting cams in soon,

Just renewed rear axle brake piping, wheel bearings, discs and pads (uprated greenstuff etc) and axle bushs, bit of a pig :nuts: to get out i think they where original,
