mike_303 started following Uprated Headlight looms for 2013, 68mm pulley advice, Bits n bobs, jabba G60 chip and and 5 others
-
Ah gotcha, makes perfect sense to me now! cheers everyone.
-
Yeah like jabba do although mine is from bar-tek, so at the tensioner if im seeing a 90 degree turn?
-
Only a quick one, Ive got a pulley and a jabba chip but was wondering if I need to run a shorter belt if I have the tensioner extension or if its one or the other? Cheers
-

-
Cool, I'm presuming you used the chip previously so you know its all working fine?
-

Do you know the offset for the lotus wheels? -
Would you go for 60 posted?
-
Well I replaced both my bulbs with some night breakers as a matter of course, and theres no uprated loom fitted, ive had the headlights out and back in doing various bits and pieces. Will have a go with the fuses. If I'm correct its just the switches and fuses, theres no standard vw relay for the lights is there?
-
Hi there, would like to order one of your looms please, looked at the ones on ebay but I think I'd rather my money went here judging by the feedback! Cheers, Michael

Fit a 90amp alternator from a passat the other day and ive still got my existing problems......
-
I was always under the presumption that over tightening also killed wheel bearings too?
-
Yeah im sure if I remember correctly that you're meant to recheck rear bearings for this exact reason, if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will pipe up!
-
Did you adjust the bearing after fitting, as far as I remember when fitting rear bearing you run them for a 100 miles then re-tighten them, I might be wrong, but If you've done this then ignore my input! lol
-
Yeah thats my next thing to look at, I tested it the other day and it puts out 13.7v under load but I might change the regulator to see if that changes anything.
