im sure this has been covered many times but im just after the basics as im just thinking about it at the moment basically what has to be done? is it just a case of swapping over the engine? or do looms, clocks, engine mounts, gearboxes, brakes, everything need swapping? thanks luke

How easy is it to fit a G60 engine into a mk1 golf?? is itliterally just a case of swapping the engine over and most things hook up or is major fabrication and wiring needed? i was looking to buy one already done but needed "tidying up" but cant see any for sale. thanks

had a corrado jsut not a VR, and yeah the RS beats the corrado hands down, and i think the interior is immense nothing else like it, but love the look of the corrados :) will see mite just get one as a second car haha!!

selling my mk1 Focus RS and buying my self a storm, i had a 16v corrado and never had any problems and the RS is absolutley AWSOME! but i am well into my retro cars and something outa the ordinary there arent many RS's either but its abit "modern" for me what ya think! spending money and putting it right wont bother me!

i no there arent any amazing differences but why not get a storm? the prices dont vary that much and i dont want cloth seats if i got an early one n i dotn want to start replacing them liek i did before, just would be nice to have a storm, also while im replying, the corrado specialist (TCS) heard bad things and good things, what are people opinions?

its not a deffo but i quite fancy a storm when i get rid of my Focus RS, i enjoyed my 1.8 16v but wasnt very powerful, how good are storms? i dont want a normal VR, im just wondering is it worth investing in a high milage storm? if so am i best going for one with a decent history? how much is an engine rebuild roughly? i want to kill some rude boy racers in sumat old again ppl expect my RS to beat them but not sumat as old unless ppl no what there talkin about

do cars HAVE to have wing mirrors? ino sum cars have only one, but can they have none at all? or is it just a certian age car ? if so what age? thanks luke.

lol yeah of course there is a mk1 RS focus lol? they made 4501 of them from 2002 to 2004 there was a mk1 phase 1 and a mk 1 phase 2, they then created the ST and then the new RS, the original RS focus was going to be another racing focus liek the racing puma but due to the poor sales of the puma they revived hte RS badge

ive got a 1989/90 1.8 16v corrado LD7Y with full leather grey interior in excellent condition, manual windows. one spot of rust its got vented n grooved discs green stuff pads braided hoses new wheels last year, just putting 12 months MOT and 6 months tax on it. what would be a reasonable amout to put it up for sale for?? thanks (its a non sunroof model) its got 112000 miles on it =]

i drove to ripon and a few other places on sunday about 40 mins journey time there. car wasnt sat long before we set off home again, on the way home was stuck in alot of traffic so car was stood for a long time. and noticed water temp was getting higher and higher, got to about 110 and after abit the light started flashing. turned off for 5 mins and back on still flashed ( obviously ti wont cool down that quick) then i turned off at eash set of lights i got to, after 2 sets of lights the light just stopped but the water temp was going from 70 to 110 and then 70 and back and forth? any ideas what this could be or has it jsut boiled dry?? any way no probs 2day so i dont no

i recently had to get the pipe from rack to pump from VW was 142 quid i think... not cheap anyway. although my original looked fine it did infact fix it

hi man, in the last week or so ive had major probs starting my 16v i dont no if this will be the same but after wasting alot of money on a new dizzy and coil and ignition swtich and testing injectors etc etc, it turns out that the thermal temp sensor or something just unter the water hose under the dizzy with a brown two prong plug on it was jammed on and putting too much fuel into the engine thus resulting in plug not firing apparently. it was a pricey part special order from germany costing £78 i duno if this could be your problem as yours is starting eventually it could be stuck closed i dont no im not the greatest! but ya never no if youve tried everything else
