I work in the oil industry ---------- Post added at 12:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:20 PM ---------- It's a blue one. I did email and the seller (a garage) said he has no info on why it was a cat c but it must have been repaired to a high standard. It's actually 15 miles away the one that's 6 miles away is a burgundy vr6. I'm in horrsell just now but am heading up to Chester tomorrow before returning to Aberdeen. I have not seen a single corrado on the road so far.

Cheers Jim. That's a great help. I am down woking and Chester areas this week. I would have loved to have arrived home with my wife driving the s4 and me in a storm but I don't want to jump the gun and just buy anything. Sounds like I missed a beauty. There is one for sale 6 miles away from me in woking but it's a cat c so am avoiding looking. With my 3 on 3 off rota if one comes up during my 3 weeks offshore I'm knackered. I've been convinced about the milage thing. I think I was a bit blinkered because the vr I sold 3 years ago only had 70000 on it and it made it easy to sell but I'm buying a storm to keep.

Yeah. I have my heart set on a storm. I always had a slight regret when I had my vr6 that I didn't buy a storm. I know they're the same car. I think I like the exclusiveness of a storm. ---------- Post added at 11:27 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:21 AM ---------- ---------- Post added at 11:32 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:27 AM ----------[/

No budget as such. I'm looking for an unmodified one. If it needs a bit of cosmetic work I'm willing to buy a cheaper one and get it up to scratch. I kinda had about 4000 in my head as a limit but if a cracker came up I could pay more.

Why does it make you laugh? ---------- Post added at 11:07 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:02 AM ---------- I am looking for one as standard as pos.

I see there's one for sale in central Scotland on here and one on eBay in Cheshire. Anyone seen them? Got any thoughts on them?

I sold my vr6 3 years ago to fund the purchase of a more family friendly 2005 Audi s4 avant. I am now looking for a storm to enjoy in the summer months and garage through the winter. Any advise on what to look for condition mileage service history etc wise? Having owned a corrado for 5 years I know all the common faults but am not sure how important service history and mileage will be. Also if anyone knows where to get one? I have been looking on eBay auto trader pistonheads and here for the last few months but not much seems to come up. Maybe I just need to be patient. I am willing to travel to buy one but live in Aberdeen.

started working again, stopped working again.

I'm going to attempt to change the motor. does anyone know where i can get one? there are a few n/s ones on ebay but I'm guessing they're different.

my missus wasn't too impressed with the greener thing but if it keeps the thread at the top it's good for me. my sunroof only tilts so that wouldn't have been an option for me either.

Lets hope someone sees this and helps us both out.

I have now bought myself a jump start battery booster pack and the corrado will start when I hook this up after it has it's non starting problem. As I said before the car doesn't turn over at all when it's not starting. I can leave it sitting for 5 mins with the heater and lights on and it won't turn over at all. I thought if the battery was a little low it would at least try to turn over. I did take it to kwik fit a couple of months ago and they said the battery was fine. I'm wondering if I should get a second opinion or maybe the battery is wrong for the car. Or could it be something else that is taking more power to start than it should. If it is just a dud battery this would be a relief. the markings on the battery thats in it are:- UNIPART Part No GBA3027, E480, A/hr62, R/C110.

I was advised to change the ignition relay and went down to specialist cars(vw Aberdeen) to get one. they weren't sure which one it was and sold me 2 relays. relay 109 which i now think is the fuel pump relay because when I remove it the car turns over but does not fire. the other one is a relay with 100 on it but I can't find a relay in the footwell relay panel with 100 on it. It seems to be the same as relay numbered 18. can anyone advise me if this is the right relay with a different number on it or if this relay is located somewhere else or if any of these relays are the ignition relay?

i'm getting bang on 200bhp and the only mod I have is a green stuff induction kit.

I've noticed this is quite a common problem but am having no luck finding a solution. My corrado vr6 has an intermittent non starting problem. It randomly won't start some times. It doesn't turn over at all, I can leave it for 30mins try again and it'll turn over and start no probs.i have changed the ignition switch and changed relay 109. I can make this problem happen intentionly by leaving the lights and the blower on for 5 mins. but it isn't a flat battery problem because it can be left for a while and it will start when you go back to it again. I'm thinking of getting a new starter taking it to an auto electrian or to a mechanic. I've had the car for 4 years and it has been pretty much bullet proof then last month it cost me £2000 for brakes exhaust steering pump and rack. This is the only remaining issue I have and I'd love to get it fixed once and for all. Any Advice would be great.

there is one on ebay now. is this what im looking for? Item number: 380079596569 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-GOLF-2-GOLF-3- ... 7C294%3A50

yeah all the lights come on. i'll look in to getting this part and fitting it. If I go up to vw aberdeen(specialist cars) and order a starter switch for a corrado I should be sorted?
-
sounds the same. how often does it happen with you? it doesn't happen very often with me. sometimes it won't happen for months. let me know if you fit the switch and it works
-
is the ignition switch easy to check? Sorry for crossing threads. I hope it didn't put anyone out to much.

I didn't know wether to post this in engine or security so i'm putting it in both. My 94 Corrado VR6 has an intermitent starting problem. 99 times out of a hundred it starts no problem and then out of the blue it won't start. It won't even turn over, you turn the ignition key and there is nothing at all. you can walk away and come back 30 mins later and it will start as normal. I thought it was the imobiliser but I have had a new alarm and imobiliser fitted and the old one stripped out and it did it again. Can anyone help?

Hi all, My 1994 VR6 has a steering problem. when it is first started the steering is very stiff when turning the steering wheel clockwise. when you get going it seems to free up ( almost as if you are cracking a sticky bit) and is then fine at all speeds, if you turn the ignition off and go back to it 5 minutes later it is fine when you restart it but if you leave it much longer it stiffens up again. Any one any ideas or solutions. Cheers

Hi all, I have a 1994 vr6 with cloth interior and am always on the lookout for leather to uprade it. I got overly excited on ebay and opted for buy it now on some biege interior (seats door cards carpet roof lining and panels) when i looked at the listing again I noticed it was left hand drive(it was mentioned once in small print but still my own stupid fault). Can anyone tell me if this will fit into my right hand drive car? If not how much is it worth? I'm thinking not alot. Thanks Adrian
