This is my corrado on Evolution Sports site https://www.evolutionsports.com/product ... 1#bigImage they are the standard Hella E code lights. As i said before, if you buy new lenses at the VW Dealer, you will get the nice clear look you want. The lense is designed to direct the light where you need it. Without it it's just like a flashlight putting light everywhere. U.S. lights are really foggy looking, no where near as clear as E codes. Sorry i don't have any better pics showing them then this: On MIke's Corrado, the clear fog lenses are Blazer brand covers. This is the alternative to replacing your cracked fogs with new ones. You cut off the old lense and glue on the universal cover.

You can use VR6 coilovers on a G60. I am running H&R VR6's on mine. All you need to do is use the VR6 upper front strut bearing. Everything else is the same between the two cars.

those are Ecodes, not U.S. spec lights. That is Bill S. old turbo VR6. My bet is if you guys bought new lenses, you get the look you are after :) And yes as stated above, U.S. lights are horrible. That is why we upgrade to your stock Euro lights ;)

Abt A23's 17x7.5 et 35mm with 8mm spacers in the rear

keep in mind that is the gen 1 bumper. Gen 2 uses a much simpler mounting system. No side brackets and bolts mount through the signal/fog recesses to the stock bumper support.

nope, the charger gets it oil from the braided oil line mounted under the boost return tube.

remember offset is dependent on width. so the 40mm would work on a 7" wide wheel, while 35mm is for a 7.5".

any wattage over stock should be relayed. This will prevent any damage to the stock switch and wiring. I'm running PIAA 80/80 in the mains and 100W in the highs, great light output and no blinding of oncoming traffic (the key is to aim them right ;))

I don't like them on the Corrado.

Interesting, I love my H&R coilovers and they ride very smooth, firm but not as hard as Koni/Neuspeed Race spring set up I had before. Again, i'm sure it all depends on the type or roads you have near you, mine are in pretty good shape. H&R race springs are a nice product I for one would recommend them for someone who wants a linear spring rate and can give up some ride comfort for handling. The setup i recommend for people who want a some lowering with a firmer ride but not harsh is the H&R sport springs with Bilstein Sport shocks.

D.O.T. standards require them. You must have lights on all sides of the car to be seen at night. The rears wrap around enough that a rear maker isn't required but because of the front bumper design, an additional light is required. You must run amber up front and red in the rear. D.O.T. is responsible for all the crap we got here, the bad lights, the knee bars, automatic seatbelts, bumper redesign, etc. :( I have also heard RC's have been discontinued when the RGR's came out.. but I still see places selling the RC's.

remove the inner door panel and trace the wires from the lock down the inside of the door. You'll find the plug near the bottom.

They don't go directly to the indicators. The signal is routed to the oil pressure control board which is built into the back of the tach (this is where the annoying beep beep beep speaker is located too) I had the same problem, it would be RPM dependent so anyting over 2k (the high rpm sensor) it would go off.. randomly. Replaced both sensors and still had the problem. So the last piece it can be is the control board. A spendy piece so I opted for a VDO guage, dual sender, idiot light, and mounting pod.. all for less then the cost of a new board ;)

You need B3 passat rear handles, they need to be modded (the striker arm shortened) for them to work in the corrado (the lock assemblies are all the same for the different years) http://www.corradog60.de has a write up on one way to mod them

if they are 7" wide, et38 will be fine, for a 7.5" wide, et35 is recommended

yeah, just use sand paper.. and move to finer and finer grit till you get a mirror finish. Then finish it off with some aluminum polish. All it takes is time :)

What eibachs are you going to use? I've ran neuspeed sports, Neuspeed Race (same as H&R for both) and now H&R coilovers with a large drop (sorry no measurments) and i've had no trouble with springs and 205/40/17's.. i did have to space out the rears for the coilovers so that required a trimming of the rear wheel wells. Get the VR6 upper strut bearings, they are tougher then the G60/16v ones and cheaper to replace.

Wouldn't you know it, for my first post I've got a question for you... I recently installed the headlight adjusters on my euro lights (Yup, here in the U.S. we don't get these kinds of options stock) My question is for those that have these adjuster motors stock, do the motors run and bring the lights up to level every time you turn your head light switch on? When you turn the lights off, they bring the lights back down. I wired mine in to get power only when i turn the switch on (if I use a constant 12v source, the power up once, go to level and stop) I'm trying to find out how VW orginally designed them to run, if they are meant to power the motor up and down everytime the switch is turned on and off or if they are not suppose to move at all (only if you disconnect the battery from the car) thanks!
