  1. Hi guys. Got some 5.25" speakers to go in the door pod type thing. From the search I've found out the door card needs to come off. Question is, how do you fit them? I'm guessing you need to remove the actual door tray/pod to get them in? It's an early spec c with original door tray, not audioscape etc. It currently has 4" in there which previous owner just fit straight through the pod hole without removing door card by look if it. Hope you can point me in the right direction. Cheers in advance.
  2. Hi, think I need a set of these. Can you pm me with a price and payment details please? Cheers.
  3. Bugger. Cheers for letting me know though.
  4. I popped into my local fabric shop (type of place people buy fabric for curtains and stuff) and got some black material that was sound. As for the glue, get some industrial spray adhesive from a floor/carpet shop. They'll sell you a can for a fiver and it'll be plenty for the job. My C is non sunroof too and makes the job so much easier. I simply stuck all the fabric down (working carefully from top to bottom) then cut away the excess fabric afterwards. Looks great and cost me £20. Also, don't think you can really salvage the original material. It's so thin and you'll be lucky to get it clean again.
  5. If you're getting a late cowling and don't want it offer it my way mate. :D I'm still trying to get my hands on one.

    Fitting a splitter

Ahh, bugger. I'd better get under there and have a look then. Cheers though, I've got a better idea of what goes where now.

    Fitting a splitter

Cheers. Is the metal support piece part of the bumper itself then?
  8. Hi guys, I've got everything I need to fit my splitter but just don' know which bolt goes where. Anyone got a diagram or something? My C's never had a splitter while I've had it so I've no idea. Could probably muddle through but would like to do it properly and be prepared before I go outt and tackle it. Cheers.

    FROZEN MY G60

I did this on my Mk2 Gti valver I used to own. Sheared off the water pump impellor and led to overheating hell. New water pump and all was ok. Hope you get a good outcome like I did. And I garauntee you'll be checking the anti freeze all the time. I'm obsessed with the stuff now!!!
  10. I'd be up for putting my name down for some dials in style 1 and in MPH. Anyone else?
  11. Passat ones still in kph though. I like style 1 with Corrado written on them. Did they say if they'd do them in MPH through a group buy? I'd be up for it.
  12. Brilliant!!!! That's cheered me up. Thanks so much for clearing that up for me.
  13. I'm not fully understanding this. :confused4: The early C's have the fog switch on the dash. If you fit late indicators does the fog switch just stop working? I've got the stalks and am hoping to fit once I get a late ignition cowling but will have to scrap that idea if my fogs won't work. Not prepared to shell out on new ones.
  14. I'm interested in this too. Think you need the late ignition cowling to house the larger hazard switch. Why do you need the fog assembly?
