  1. My accelerator pedal is very squeeky too- haven't had time to have a proper look at it yet- sure it just needs a dab of 3 in 1 or something (hopefully!).

    Ebay ECU Chips

I'm inclined to agree- there must be a reason for them being so cheap. Is the CCGB rolling road day at AmD still on? Are you going? Bit of a treck for you, mate!

    Ebay ECU Chips

Roddy, would if I had the dosh! Was looking for a cheap power gain
  4. Why, why, why, why, why....would anyone do that to a Corrado? :? As for that 'Corrado Concept', it looks like a Transformer whose batteries have run down halfway through transforming! (Do Transformers have batteries?). Here's another one for you, Jim (I'm presuming you're a Sky Blues fan!?).
  5. Was having a look at ebay and there are quite a few chip upgrades for sale for the 2.0 16v 9A engine. Most seem to offer at least 10 BHP, and they're quite cheap. I know they're probably highly dodgy, but was wondering if anyone has tried one?
  6. Jamie, Interesting stuff! The 24v VR6 sounds lovely- shame none of us will ever have one
  7. ....and here is the new Corrado RS Cosworth! Anybody got a pic of the 'Beech Buggy' Corrado? That's probably the best of the lot, but I can't find any pics :( Heard rumours that the supposed VW Motorsport C (the yellow one with the twin round lights at the front) is a fake i.e. there's absolutely no paperwork to back up the owner's claims, some of the work is a tad shoddy etc etc. Anybody shed any light on this?
  8. Way to go! Here's another yellow one just for you..... Happy Birthday by the way!
  9. Nice work, Jim! Wait 'til you see this.... Laughed out loud when I saw this- check out those lights
  10. Here's another of the yellow one just for you Jim. Maybe you can use it as wallpaper
  11. The yellow one's bad...what about the first one! Dunno if it even qualifies as being a C anymore! How can people do this to such a beautiful car!
  12. Happened upon some pics of absolutely aweful C's- thought I'd post one or two. Dunno whether to laugh or cry! Anyone got any more? Andy
  13. Cheers Dan, you've put my mind at rest!
  14. Cheers guys- hope it's not cracking up! It doesn't seem to be getting any worse, but it's still happening. I'll keep an eye on it, and as soon as it starts getting any worse I'll have it checked out.
  15. Hi all, every morning the first time I release the clutch it scrapes. It's then fine for the rest of the journey, no matter how long I drive for. It happens again if I leave the car for any length of time, and it only happens the first time I release the clutch. What's going on? Is this serious? Cheers Andy
  16. Anyone tried this mod? Very tempted to do it, but (call me a wuss!) am a bit worried about the noise when cruising on the motorway. Cheers Andy

    MPG ?

I regularly get 40-ish on longer journeys. Best so far in the 16v is 47!!! Around town it rarely gets over 30. Believe it or not I got 53 in my G60. Did a 30 mile journey at a constant 50 mph just to see what it would do. Other than that, I would get low-mid 20's around town and up to mid 30's everywhere else. How you drive has a huge effect! Overtook someone today and it went down 10mpg in no time! Andy
  18. Jim, Got the Magnex for £300 inc VAT and delivery from Motorsportworld.co.uk - I've bought a couple of things from them and their service is superb. They are friendly and do everything they can to help. They also do the best reductions around. I think the Magnex was 15% off. I would go for a Magnex or a Milltek- have only heard positive things about both. My mechanic mate is fitting mine next week and he told me Magnex are the *only* aftermarket exhausts which fit perfectly every time. Think I'll go for a K & N panel filter when I go for a service next month. Andy
  19. Jim, Glad to hear it! Should have all my probs sorted next week- I'm having a Magnex exhaust fitted, a new sunroof motor, new window switches and the CD changer mounted in the boot. Hopefully I won't have to spend out again for a while! Can't wait for the exhaust. My current one looks good (twin DTM) but it knocks continuously and is driving me mad! Before I forget, when is the CCGB rolling road day again? I'd be well up for that. Your car is running excellent BHP- any mods? Seem to remember you've got a panel filter- think I might have to get one! Cheers buddy Andy
  20. My two penneth! Jim, don't do it under any circumstances! I know exactly how you feel. I had a real love/hate relationship with my G60. Only had it a year and it cost me a fortune. It got to the stage where I started to worry every time I drove, or every time it rained (it leaked!). I just couldn't afford to keep paying out. This started to take all the fun out of it, so I sold it. I replaced it with a 1995 Honda Civic VTI which was a fantastic car- looked great, very fast, nice to drive, Honda reliability, revved to 8000 etc etc. Not a Corrado though! Only kept it 4 months- I simply had to get another Corrado. Thought I'd be a bit more sensible, so got the 16v, and already things have started to go wrong! Don't regret it though 'cos I've got one of the best front drive coupes ever made. You're a real enthusiast mate - you won't last five minutes without it! As everyone else has said, you just have to prioritise what you get done on the car. Try not to be such a perfectionist (I know it's hard) and just get mechanical problems sorted until you're a bit more flush. Don't worry about mirrors, bodywork etc - they can wait. Don't sell it - you'll regret it for sure. Andy
  21. Fitted mine at the weekend and they are superb! No smearing or just pushing the water about- they get rid of it completely. As the Sprinter article says, the only slight problem is that the passenger side wiper can't be lifted up fully (for cleaning the windscreen etc) because the bonnet is in the way. However, it can be lifted up enough to get a sponge underneath so it isn't a big deal. Only took 5 mins to fit them. You have to get the driver's arm just right to stop it hitting the pillar, but they're really easy to adjust. All in all it's well worth doing - I can actually see now when I'm driving at night in the pouring rain! Andy
  22. It's a real pain! Hopefully I'll be able to get it looked at this week- yet more dosh on the car! Andy
