hi will a mk2 golf haynes manual have the 2l 16v corrado engine and wiring diagrams in it?or does anybody know of a manual that is specific to the corrado?thanx

hi i know its not corrado related,but while the corrado is in the paint shop im driving the daily,its a 6n polo sdi estate and its just died on me!!all the electrics have gone,its completely dead,ive tried the battery,the terminals ,the starter,altenator, the ecu i then got the rac out but he couldnt figure the problem out either.he said that there was no power going to the ignition switch from the fuse box and maybe it was one of the relays,he said maybe try changing relay 174,is this the main relay because i have also been told that said relay is for the wipers.could this be true or is he talking bollocks??can anyone help me here??? please!!! its too cold to be using the r1 :lol:

thanks for the reply,yeh ive left the injection etc of the kr engine in the car and have connected it to the new engine,it turns over well and it has a strong spark but it just has no mention of starting or nothing and the plugs are still dry.i will get some pics of the wires and the srew thing up asap.cheers

hiya all ive just put an engine into my car the new engine is a 2l 16v 9a and the car originally came with a 1.8 kr 16v,the problem is that im not getting any fuel to the spark plugs,im still on the cars original ecu do i need the 9a ecu??could this be the problem??i also have 3 wires left over with no where to go :) the wires run under the air box or the left hand side of the airbox.2 have the plug connectors 1 long wire 1 short and the 3rd wire is a small spade connecter,does any body know where they go??and finally on the right side of the block just above the thermostat housing there is a screw thread i dont know if there is something missing here. cheers

hiya all ive recently bought a nugget yellow carrado with a seized 1.8 16v engine and am currently fitting a 2.0 16v into it is this a straight swap?any problems i will encounter?and also how many yellow cars where built?not seen many about even at the shows cheers
