  1. if you can really feel the scratch with your fingernail its normally too deep to do anything with but going by the pictures it looks like they will machine polish out
  2. i bought a spare set of second hand ones and slowly working my way through them so may aswell. thanks for the reply
  3. ive got an intermittent misfire and as i was running coolant flush through the engine earlier i was looking down the end of one of the plug leads i could see a spark every couple of seconds. i thought maybe it did it on all of them but its only the one nearest the offside headlamp. could this be the cause of the misfire? cheers
  4. ive been abit lazy with that sale thread. i curbed one of the wheels and the other three have water ingress under the clear coat so deciding what to do with them really
  5. all else fails find out where the car is registered to go round there with a hammer and screwdriver and have a little one on one with her car door
  6. makes you think its probably safer to leave the car unlocked with no valuables inside but with a very loud alarm set
  7. easy enough with the right size phillips driver. when i done mine i think i only had to take the triangle door mirror trim off on the inside and thats a two second job..

  10. thanks for the quick reply. might risk it with a second hand one, although it did look easy enough to change with the coil out the way
  11. ive had a coolant leak for a while now and i think this is the cause... its tucked away behind the coil and as you can tell its leaking quite badly  its on a vr6 btw cheers for any help
  12. cheers. ive still got that but its the only thing i didnt inspect
  13. is that the box opposite the throttle body with a metal plate under it?
  14. it sounds likes it coming from the left hand side of the bay(as if youre looking at the engine). i can only hear it under load but it definately sounds vacuum related to me. any ideas? cheers
  15. if it was mine i'd be happy that i crashed it driving it properly and not letting it rot away in a garage or scrapped for parts.
  16. that was me, atm its an unloved vr6
  17. i was driving a van but it was a couple of months ago. the corrado i saw looked like it had been resprayed on the nearside
  18. wtf, i saw a green corrado driving through bletchley near the bus station and the driver was definately feminine
  19. i fitted a magnex cat back with decat to my vr6 today. Everything went together easy enough but to get the backbox to sit right, it ended up being too close to the brake bias and bangs against that abit. The hanger nearest the tip is also in completely the wrong place and needs to be about 40mm shorter. Ive managed to bodge it to sit right with a wall tie but i will get the hanger re-welded asap. Anyone else had similar issues with theirs?
  20. you reckon?!. I'd like to see how they look, if I knew of an ignition live it'd be a 10minute job+drilling a couple of holes for the bulb holders
  21. I have but i found them abit busy looking. also, if i wire a couple of bulbs into the front indicators i can remove them if they look naff and no one will be any the wiser.
  22. i want to run a couple of small orange bulbs next to the front indicators on my vr6. Is there an ignition live wire in the engine bay i can safely tap 2 wires into? thanks alot
  23. the carhas a toad ai606 alarm fitted, the fob locks all the doors fine and unlocks everything except the drivers door. i have to put the key in the barrell and turn it so the central locking pump makes a noise and then i can open the drivers door. the airpump/mechanism at the bottom of the door locking pin feels abit loose and this makes unlocking and locking the door via the key feel abit slask aswell so could this be down to the problem or could it be the central locking pump? thanks for any help
