  1. Hi Chris,

I am Tony Boman, the Corrado Club GB Webmaster. We have been trying to contact you regarding your membership cheque you sent. Unfortunately your AOL email address is rejecting emails I have sent you from both of my personal email accounts.

Wanted to say that, yes you can pay at Stanford Hall, but I am also happy to activate your website access if you want to pay by PayPal.

Please let me know what you would like to do.

    Best regards,

Tony Boman (tbvr6 on both forums)

  2. Do MOT stations maintain a database of cars that should have ABS fitted or do they look for existence of ABS pump? In other words, when testing, how do they know you have ABS fitted. I have an intermittent ABS light on situation, which looks like a minor pump valve issue and was wondering if I could just replace ABS light with blanking switch plate for MOT :-) Tony
  3. A long shot, but did you ever sell this? Regards, Tony
  4. My local junction, but not me. Nice to know another around these parts
  5. My VR has always shown a higher speed than actual. Have not checked every speed, but on average it is about 10% over. So 33 at 30, 44 at 40 etc. Considering it is an electronic sensor, it is not very good really. Even an original AutoCar review showed the VR to have the most inaccurate speedo out of all the test cars. Car manufacturers can get in trouble if the speedo shows less than actual speed, so as they cannot get it perfect, they err on the side of caution and have the speedo show higher than actual. Having said that, our 2004 Discovery is pretty accurate in comparison to my VR.
  6. Real shame, was really looking forward to a last show of the season. It really has been a bad year for show organisers...
  7. Yes, daily here too, about 250 miles per week. Well Corrados have to be driven, don't they? :-)

    cheap coilovers

My AP coilovers have been great so far. Made by KW, but not in stainless. Cost £400. Not saying they are as good as some, but bought on recommendation and very happy so far.
  9. That is not the right part. That is the electromagnet which fits near the shifter to lock certain shift positions. I think you are looking for something more like this. : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vw-Vehicle-Speed-Sensor-For-Auto-Transmission-4-Speed-01M927321B-RPM-Sensor-/300655551190?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item460077a2d6&_uhb=1#ht_12638wt_992 But check part nos first. Tony
  10. Has anyone had their free ticket yet or are they sending them out nearer the event? Just wanted to make sure my form had not gone adrift. Tony
  11. I would like to keep it looking stunning, but as it does a 60 mile round commute 5 days a week, it is pointless getting too precious about it. The best thing about Corrados is the driving experience, so that comes first for me, although I would love it to be spotless. Hate the fact that however far from other cars I park it, it still seems to get knocked on an almost daily basis!!
  12. I did take a double take when I saw it and the people I was with said "There goes your car"! But, without meaning to be nasty, mine was in better condition :-)
  13. M reg Blackberry VR6 in Vicarage Road, Egham around 1pm today. I was walking, my Blackberry VR being parked at my office in same road.
  14. 53 years young and had my VR 3 years. Taken it from 130000 to 164000 in that time. Love every minute I am driving it.
