On my last MOT had an advisory for a few pipes showing corrosion. Is it worth sanding them down a bit and painting them? or should I replace the pipes?any ideas where to get'em and how much they cost? cheers
-
need to do this too, my spoiler is peeling and looks crap need to do the mirrors also (more pink than red now). Let me know which vinyl you go for.

Why is there a VW service ad on the corrado forum when they only do 3-10yr old cars? and the £30 MOT they advertise you cant get min charge is £39 ?????????

the relays are mounted on a steel plate, they just slide off (may be a bit stiff) you should be able to wiggle them off. then just clip them back in place.

Have a brand new set of these 17" (polished and dishy) http://www.alloywheelworld.co.uk/product.php/388/dotz-mugello-8x18-quot-finished-in-black-with-polished-face boxed, no tyres but brand new! need space so willing to let them go cheap or 2400 and I'll chuck in a free VR6 :D -

Took my dash out and all the heating conduits, then wife comes out saying toilet is leaking, have a look and should be a simple cystern replacment! 2 days later I have finished! the bas**rd plumber had made a complete mess of the pipe work and then boxed it in! Now I have to go back to work tommorow and I have no dash so when I return no way will I know what goes where :censored: cowboy builders, plumbers, electricians, mechanics bring back the death penalty! Rant over sorry

Looking for someone who knows thier stuff also with a vag/com thingy so I can check out any faults. I am in Ascot so anywhere nearby. My VR seem a bit limp :(
-
okay I am trying out the non dash removal technique by Chuck. stuck on some things: what/where the nobby nut on the fan? what/where is the triangle bracket? the lower nut for the matrix in the engine bay is fcuked the whole thing spins so nut wont come off and and its rusted badly how the hell do you get to the fan arm nut its behind the colant filler so you need a super long rachet arm with a bend in it! anyone done this recently ?

thanks fla, for urmm the bad news! any ideas where to get a replacement?

Okay my VR has been sitting idle for a while (I work abroad!) and i am told its been pretty cold here of late. Anyway I have just jump started it to life and after a while my dash started sizzling and tons of steam coming out of every hole in the dash. Any ideas? has a pipe blown? do i need to strip out the dash? any help is very much appreciated thanks all hail the corrado guru's :notworthy:

15 x 8" Schmidt Modernlines ... Do they the fit on a VR6?
jok replied to flyingmatt555's topic in Exterior
does this mean 17" will defo rub, I was looking at some 17" running on 215/40/17 then lowering it a tad, will I need to roll the arches? -
So glad some of you C owners have some sense, I have owned 4 C's over the last 10 yrs. When looking for the lastest one just got plain sick of all this "classic car" bull and stupid top gear links on every F'ing advert :censored: . I thinks its a flipin joke some people want 5-9k for a standard VR6 with a shit load of miles and the ones selling storms just think they are gods. come on guys the Corrado is still just an enthusiast car, yes it will be a classic when there are about 50 left running in 10-15yrs time but even still will never be a e-type Jag or Ferrari 250 GTO it will be lucky to even get the Audi quatrro cult status. you just have to look at a forum members car wich has been tuned, modded, repainted, uprated and generally worked on all round they will ask for 4-5k with seems at least fair for all the work your getting a work of art. :censored: :mad2: :censored: sorry rant over!
-
to be fair the mechanic works on Ferrari's and my Corrado is Red! (easy to confuse with a F430  ) should tell him the engine is at the front!
-
arrrghh :censored: just read a tread on the vortex forum says arrow should point forward (toward engine), a mechanic friend tells it points back :confused4: still none the wiser. if you see a dodgy geezer sniffing round a parked corrados rear wheel arch its me!
-
Thats what I think, so it should point to the engine, just get the feeling its wrong though, come guys get your mobile phones out!
-
I've just done a service on my VR, and changed the fuel filter also but have this horible feeling I have put the new one in backward :confused4: it's a Bosch filter, which way should the arrow point? can someone take a pic of thiers? thnxs
-
wow, must be a very firm ride hope you have a good chiropractor! but good to know they fit with no faffing. what size are the tyres?
-
I'll take the santa's off you if you find the RS6 alloys  can I ask what the drop is on your car and what shocks/springs are you running on.
