No it works like this the lower the first number the thinner the oil is at cold, the higher the second number the thicker it is at 100 degrees so a 0w-60 is thinner and thicker than a 10w-40 at cold/hot, i use mobil 1 extended life 10w 60 fully syn and just got some off the bay for £66 delivered 10 litres

Ok i will find out ? not very good at understanding offsets, is the higher the number the closer to the hub ?

Please help i am having some trouble still - there is a bobbling? / knocking noise coming from the front !!! work done - i have replaced anti roll bar bushes, drop links, topmounts and bearings, the gearbox has just been changed for reconditioned one, i have replaced all cv joints and the ball joints were done about 3-4 months ago for gsf lemforder ones. the noise comes when going over very slight bumps, and i sounds strange but seems to get worse when warmed up, it also appears to get worse when half mounting kerbs for parking (loading?) it also seems to sound like defective cv joint? The car drives really well the recon box is really tight and smooth I am debating replacing the ball joints again as a cheap possible fix ? PLEASE can anyone suggest a cause of this or had any similar problems with any of the components replaced ?

Would be really good to know of trusted good mechanics, who have been used by members, and maybe a list produced if there are any of these RARE breads out there? -

sounds like a sensor to me ? i would definately by a scanner, they are pretty cheap and will give you an error could for a faulty sensor, bought mine on ebay for about £20 and it diagnosed cam and crank sensor faults. -
