My girlfriend lives near this car and we always make a point of looking to see if it's there when we pass, it looks in very good condition from what I can see.

Could that accumulate that much in the footwell though? Or is there probably other problems aswell? -

Yeah sorry forgot to mention it's passenger side and when I get home I will take pictures. Yeah I'll strip the interior because it'll only get ruined while its out in the elements. Also I'm not sure about the sunroof as I'm having problems with it. -
Hi guys I'm desperately trying to get to.the bottom of this water leak issue!! I'm not exaggerating when I say it's like a monsoon!! Within a week from completely dry it's about 4inches deep in water!! I've done the foliage seal with sealant just for the time being, I've done door membranes and fitted a new windscreen after finding that only 40% of.the bottom of the windscreen was bonded!! So I thought the windscreen was the problem! Problem solved! But no its still getting in like there's a hole in the roof!! Can anyone at all shed any light on this please, I'm begging because I love this car but I'm on the verge of selling it cheap because I can't sort the leak! :'( These are the pictures I got today before taking the interior out! The first one is the sunroof motor cover? And it was soaking wet! Is that due to the condensation or do.you think there could be a leak from the sunroof?

Hi guys, Just looking to get a bit more of an idea on where I stand insurance wise with a conversion. I have gnarly for the corrado through the MOT and because I'm getting older I feel it's time to be more responsible, so I've got a few quotes with full mods list including engine change to R32. But the problem I have now os where I stand with the DVLA as I take it they need to know also. Question 1 is can I insure it all mods declared and not tell the DVLA and if anything did go wronged be covered? Question 2 is if I decided to tell the DVLA what would they want off me to sort it out? Engine number, proof of purchase etc. Seeing as the guy who did the conversion before me and I bought the car 18 months ago I feel id have a problem finding out where the engine came from, also I was lied.to about quite alot of things about the car and I'm kind of worrying that the engine is more than likely not legit. If anyone could shine any light on this it would be much appreciated Jonny

Alright fellas, You may have seen my previous post on the obd port not working so I could scan the abs fault, well now I've sort that and it's showing errors I've not got the problem that it's not throwing up any abs faults 😞 It's throwing up a few different codes so I know it's working. Also I had a large water leak from the air intake for the blowers, so I presumed that the abs ecu maybe at fault so I've replaced it with one I know works and still no codes! Has anyone got any ideas what the problem could be? Thank you in advance for any help Jonny

This is what I have found looking at it today, but I don't know how it should look?? So could you tell me if this is right please and if it's not tell me what's wrong :) Thanks jonny

Yeah I've tyres the original diagnostic plug that's the one that's causing me a ball ache because it seems to be getting nothing :( and to be honest I don't think it was a psi install I think it was a kind of home brew :( so the guy reckons anyway! If it was done by psi, I've had nothing but struggles and would seriously not trust anyone, that do my car, to touch another car again!!

Alright mate, how far do you get up Cumbria I'm in Keswick like and yours isn't a dragon green is it??
-
I'm not to sure mate as I didn't do the conversion and I'm trying to put it all right or at least get it through MOT and take it to someone to fettle the rest. And cheers for the help guys, if I'm honest this has all gone straight over my head but I'll get someone who knows a lot more than me to look at this and then look at the car, I know the rev limiter isn't working because of something to do with a canbus convertor? Also in the tray under the globe box there was an additional what looked like female port, but wasn't connected to anything. Could that be involved??
-
I wouldn't know mate? I'm quite well minded mechanically but electrically ****e!!

Its a snap on on like a couple grands worth :/ solius?? Something like that and it's worked on other cars just not mine :( and yeah it's supposedly been mapped :/

I'm in desperate need of finding the reason why my abs light is on for the MOT, problem is as you may know I have an r32 converted Corrado and it just keeps flashing up no connection on the scanner! We have tried searching through specific ABV engine code (before conversion) and then BUB R32 engine code (what's in now)and also just a general scan but to no avail! Also the port is turning the scanner on so I would have thought it was plugged in and it's getting some sort of signal but obviously not reading anything from the R32 ecu 😢 Obviously I need this fault sorting for the MOT but I'm really struggling now :( I hope someone could shed some light on this 😃 Thank you in advance Jonny

Some may say lucky, I say boring 😔 no but really it's okay but always seem to be a million miles from anywhere lol

I thought I ought to officially introduce myself on here, as this forum will become my best friend over the next couple of months seeing as I'm trying to correct a lot of wrongs on my r32 converted Corrado!! Also I have another vr6 in complete pieces as a project also! So fair to say this will become my main stream of hints and tips :) I'm not new to Volkswagen as I've driven them since the day I passed my test 5 years So they are the cars in order I have owned and as you can see very vw orientated lol (l200 is just for fun and a bit of work ) So I'll thank many of you in advance as I will be asking a lot of questions in the not too distant future!! And hopefully meet up with a few guys and girls for a crack at various different shows this year :)

Right it's about time I looked at this and don't hold it off any longer I'm having problems with the dipstick hitting the radiator when it's under load and it's made a little hole now! On further investigation it looks like the whole engine is far to close for comfort so can anybody point me in the direction of a sufficient radiator that ideally will fit underneath the top of the slam panel Thank you in advance

It's in a bit of a sorry state at the minute! :( still trying to get it through an MOT at the minute, then came the common water leak so took interior out to stop it moulding up now eventually sorted that and a few other things and hopefully it's just a cat and put the interior back in then we should be getting places :)

Sorry to ratchet up an old thread lol as I was googling ban bus converter!! And guess what! I've own this for around about a year now!! I ended up paying £4250 for it and that was probably £1000 too much, I'm afraid the noise got me :( it's a good car don't get me wrong but like what's already been said there are wires hanging about and stuff! It is pretty clean but rubbish paint job on the roof and bonnet also and my stupidity he took me out on a test drive with it came back parked it up and stuff when I drove off (and got lost on the way home) turned into a car park and for the life of me couldn't get it in reverse!! Good buy!!! Rang the guy and his reply was a lot can happen in 3 miles!! Also as times gone on I've found other faults, the lights where all over the place, dipped was full etc etc heated seats don't work the hand brake bracket had snapped and been duct taped down, the common leak in the scuttle was covered with blue plastic sheeting!! The list goes on!! I'll be the first to admit I feel I got robbed but when you sit back and think that there's probably £2500 in the convertion (including wavetrac with receipt) and it's a clean shell with original black leathers id of said £3500 was about what I should have paid! Which all in all I wasn't to fussed about because I used it all last summer and the only problem I had was snapping a driveshaft on the drag strip at gti international :/ I'm one of those folk who will look at anything in a positive light so I have to take the positives out of it :) sorry again for bringing this thread up from the dead but I thought I'd have my say as the current owner lol
-
Hey mate I'm after the door slot seals and also the trims on the bottom of the doors have you still got them?? Cheers
-
It was a vr6 as standard and it's all mk5 r32 management, I always thought that the r32 engines wouldn't be as bad as vr6s for emissions :/ with it being a lot newer
-
Hi, I've got a corrado R32 and I'm after some advice :( it failed it's MOT drastically on emissions which I knew it would as I didn't have a cat for it, but now I'm wondering whether I will need an r32 cat from a mk5 or will a vr6 cat cut the mustard? Also a mate in the trade told me with a reading 2-3 times over the limit, possibly a cat would not solve the problem? Could anyone shine any light on this for me please? Thank you in advance :)
