  1. just to let you no that it was the ignition switch that was at fault ! so got my car back at last, yey ! :clap: Next problem is the power sreering is is making a hell of a noise. You can hear it when its stood still and its really loud when you turn either way, also doen't feel like its working properly as the steering heavier than usual. I've chesked the fuid level and its full. Any idea's ? Thanks
  2. Thanks for the reply's ! Yes he has checked the fault memory, thats where he got the crank sensor fault from and he said thats the only code that came up. Also says that he's checked everything from the sparkplugs back to the ECU, which I would've thought would include the wiring and relay. Any other idea's please ?!?!?! :confused4:
  3. Evertime I try it just won't start, I've taken it to the garage (same one I use all the time so I trust him) and he said there's no spark. He said he cant find anything at fault and seems to think it could be the ECU so he's sent it off to be tested. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem or any ideas what it could be ? Bit of background info, Its a 94 VR6 with 121,000 miles on the clock. Recently had a new ABS sensor, new coil pack (been tested and is fine) and a new crank position sensor. Also the heater matrix went about a month ago which I replaced. It has been running fine until now so doubt its connected to the current problem. Any help much appriciated

  5. Ive been grumpy all day due to my VR6 trying its best to take all my money off me by continuously breaking itself, but this has just made my face ache from laughing so much !!! :lol: :clap: :lol: :clap:
  6. recieved my first issue delivered yesterday. been busy changing my heater matrix so only had chance to have a quick flick through but it looks like a tidy mag with plenty of info and looking forward to a proper read ! :)
  7. hi, all sorted now. it was the whole thing turning, in the end after messsing with it for ages the other end simply unthreaded from the plastic housing. cheers anyway ! :)
  8. in the middle of doing mine as we speak. Its taking a while but going fine (thanks to this guide !) untill i tried undoing the two nuts holding the matrix housing to the bulkhead. got the top one ndone fine but the bottom one just keeps turning. tried spraying it with loads of WD40 and tried holding the end with some molegrips and tuning the nut with a spanner but no luck ! :( gat the car in pieces on the drive and aint got a clue what to do ! PLEASE HELP !!!

  10. My car needs a new rear brake disks so gonna fit new bearings at the same time. Just wanted to know if all Corrado's use the same bearings ? mine is a 94 plate VR6. any help appriciated ! :)

  15. I recently bought some VDO gauges for my VR6 and could do with some advice on how to install them. Dont think they're OEM ones but they are for a Corrado and fit in the cubby hole under the cigarette lighter and heater controls. Pretty sure I read somewhere that the wires are already there on VR6's because they were an optional extra from VW, is this true ? Any advice much appriciated !!! :D
  16. Does anyone know if you can adjust the door ? Its just that mine looks like it has dropped slightly which is making it difficult to close. Any help much appriciated :)

  22. Tidy ! My carriers are quite badly corroded so would need to change them. I spose my best bet would be to keep an eye out in the for sale section fo a set or can you still get them new ? cheers

  24. Hi, my rear callipers are pretty much knackered and have heard of people fitting Mk4 rear callipers. Was wondering excatly what do I need to carry out the conversion, where's best to get the parts from and roughly how much would it cost ? Any advice much appriciated ! :)
