had a bit of time to spare this evening so decided to dismantle one of the wheels, also got a price on getting these sandblasted €100 for everything so all going well they will be fully striped next week, few more pics,, now to source the parts for the 5x100 conversion.
-
thinkin of black, satin centres with gloss lip, all the studs on the wheel polished can get four flat centres sorted so think thats the look ill go with, think they will suit the rado better with the flat caps, could colour code the lips with black centres?
-
was given them foc, brother in law donated them to the cause :D
-
looks like im in for, 4x100 to 5x100 conversion, sort some flat caps, full strip down and refurb on wheels, wonder what to do to the car after that :D does it ever end
-
flat caps or hold out for the original? maybe satin black centres with a gloss black lip and polish all the studs as they seem to be s/s, my rado is flash red.
-
picked up these rims a couple of weeks back and now trying to find 2 centre caps as theyre missing, the cap is a screw on type with a seperate cover to cover the studs,if i cant source the proper caps im going to get flat caps made, anyway the specs are,, 3 piece splits, 16x8, et 34(i think), 5x100 + 5x114.3, made in japan by weds, whats peoples opinions on these on the corrado? any help appreciated.

sorry forgot to mention that once the colour was applied to the repair on the doorcard you cant see any trace of where the switch was.
-
when i filled the holes in the doorcards i just peeled the leather from where its attached to the hole on the back of the doorcard you then end up with the hole closed, then with the leather repair kit you have a piece of webbing which you cut to size and glue behind withe the leather glue after that has set its filler time and that is a case of repeating until perfect, the instructions you get with the kit are very good but i found when filling the doorcards that patience will leave it perfect,on the colour match i got my colour matched to a piece of trim and now they have my colour on file, the code i have is corrado yu 20g, im very happy with the match so use that code if you want that colour, any more questions feel free to ask, regards,,bernie.

furnitureclinic are top class to deal with, i bought the extra large kit with a colour match, quick delivery and easy to follow instructions, my rado is a daily so i gave the driver seat 2 coats of both laquers to be safe, delighted with the finished result.
-
cheers mate, going to get proper pics though, bad camera doesnt do it any justice, maybe time to do a build thread.
-
parcel shelf and handbrake tunnel was bought of goldie on here, about 60hrs work gone into the interior but worth every minute
-
sorry about the delay on the pics but was without my laptop for the past fortnight :( ,anyway heres a few before and after for you and also i cant recommend the funitureclinic stuff enough, stick to the instructions and you get serious results. i completely stripped the interior for the colour change these shots are after the leather prep, you wont beleive the muck that comes off, i went from a late interior to early so the doorcards were a prob as i wanted to keep my late window switches so back to furniture clinic for a repair kit and this was the result and the colour change and fitted red karmann badge :D any questions id be happy help with.

im in the process of doing a full interior colour change from grey to beige with a colour match to storm interior trim,as said above prep is the key to a good result and im using the furniture clinic extra large kit which is very good, spent a full day on prep so far and the results are amazing, will throw up pics when im done if you want?
