  1. also, my friend was installing a new deck in my car today and as he was rewiring, the lights on my instrument cluster flashed quickly along with some electrical noise (he forgot to disconnect car battery) but now my amp wont turn on??? everything else works, did he blow my amp?
  2. well idk if this goes for all corrados but mine only has the ON and START options in my ignition switch. so to turn on my radio id have to put it in the ON position which also turns on my fan. Fan+Subs+Full blast= Ultimate Drainage lol. so if i hook up those two power supply feeds to a 12v source (battery?) im set? it wont drain my battery? my stereo has the on/off option.
  3. i have a g60 and i would like to have my stereo turn on when the ignition is off. reason is when i have my ignition in ON my fan turns on so i dont want to have my fan and stereo on. what do i need to do to make this happen?? i have a pioneer deck i dont know if that helps, if you guys need any more info just let me know, THANKS!
  4. Exactly! lol but oil has been recently changed and i also just installed a new master and slave cylinder not too long ago, but why does it only happen in reverse? the other 5 gears go in without a problem, and i always take my time going in reverse, but ill try bleeding the gearbox cylinder see if it makes a difference
  5. this has been bothering me ever since i got my corrado. its a 90 and whenever i first start it up, reverse will NOT grind, but once i get it out and going and have to reverse somewhere, it WILL grind when i shift into it. sometimes its a small grind and sometimes its a loud grinding, but its always when the cars hot. i heard some people have to go into 2nd, then 1st, then reverse (or something like that) to avoid this, but my main question is, why does my car NOT grind when cold and grind when warmed up??? :mad2:
  6. So just to conclude, the eurosport intake and ITG filter were NOT the cause of this problem correct? or were they? was it just a random coincedence? cuz if it wasnt the intakes fault i would like to put it back in, thanks again
  7. sweet i got everything out, im just having a problem removing the center console, the E Brake cover trim is in the way, how do i remove it?
  8. i need to get my interior removed by tonight so i can sell it but im stuck, im not sure how to remove the front seats and as for the rear door panels i got them disconnected but theseat belt is in the way of letting me remove it, i tried search but couldnt really find anything if someone could please give me a link to a DIY or something or if you want to give me quick directions as to where the bolts are etc. to remove the seats i would greatly appreciate it, thanks!
  9. Good news guys, i got my new pulley from bahn brenner and installed it and now my car sounds better than ever! i did notice something though, on the outer shaft that the pulley goes in, the key on it was sort of loose, not really loose it just moved a little, is that normal? anyways thanks for all the help!
  10. am i going to need a new pulley or can i still use this one? i know it looks pretty bad in the pics but in person its not that bad its just a little dirty lol
  11. ok so i got my pulley out and took some pics, and now i tried to put it back on and tighten it but im just back to where i started, i cant tighten it enough so its wobbling just like before i took it off. has anyone ever installed a supercharger pulley with just a strap wrench and a socket? or do you need a special tool to torque it etc.? well heres the pics and i also got a video of the pulley. any tips on how to install would be great, thanks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_WwNhgTdKE
  12. i got the smoke fixed it was just a leak in the fuel line but i got it replaced. now that i found out it was my pulley making the noise i just want to know how to remove it since whenever i try to remove the bolt the pulley turns with it. i think theres a special tool for these things? i forgot what they were called? impact gun or torque wrench or something? i just want to remove my pulley lol
  13. nevermind i got it figured out, anyways i BELIEVE i found the Problem! which is good but not good. so my supercharger pulley is really loose before i even removed the belt i could already feel it wobbling. i removed the belt and its just really loose i can get a video of it if needed, anyways does this mean its just my pulley that needs replacing ( or maybe tightened) or does my charger still have problems? the pulley itself looks really new. and if it does need replacing how do i do so? could i use the one out of my other g60? its slightly bigger tho
  14. ok this is a noob question but im new to working on my car so, how exactly do you take out the belt? and i have an extra charger in my other non running corrado maybe i should switch them and see what happens? how much would a shop charge for something like that or should i try to do it myself? thanks again
  15. Alright guys the time has come i know youve all been waiting for it and here it is! i got a video of the noise but unfortunately i forgot to get a shot of the loose screw but basically if you look right below the alternator pulley, its that screw, anyways here is the link let me know what you guys think of the noise thanks! oh and the smoke in the end is a leak in the fuel line outa the fuel rail but i am getting it fixed tonight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajr-efyrH4c
  16. i have a video of the noise and screw i just have no way to upload it right now since i lost my usb cable, but ill get it uploaded by monday or tuesday and give you guys a link, thanks
  17. Actually i just noticed a really long screw maybe 5 or 6 inches right under the alternator if i recall its inbetween the alternators belt that was loose, i tightened it up tho and it still makes the noise, although it still loosens up after a while..hmm and why would it only do it under 2000rpms? like i said above that it sounds great. the noise doesnt sound bad its just..weird.. lol
  18. Just when i thought all my problems were gone... So i switched from KnN to ITG, then metal flakes came flying out of the belt/pulley area (not alot just a small amount at a steady pace) so i switched back, but nowww my charger is making a different noise under 2000rpms. best way i can describe it is sort of a really fast low Vibrating/Knocking noise, but as soon as it goes above 2000rpms the noise stops and it sounds alot cleaner. ive searched and alot of people say this is how it should sound, but mine never sounded like this before :cuckoo: . Did i damage something while i had my ITG setup?? ill try to get a vid of the noise soon. all help/advice is appreciated!
  19. Nevermind the smoke stopped, im guessing since i cleaned the tube with some degreaser maybe it was just that clearing out, anyways smoke is gone.
  20. well i switched back to KnN for now, but noise is still there and to top it off now smoke/steam is coming from the throttle body area (not sure exactly where) and it is leaking im guessing fuel when turned on :mad2: , any ideas whats going on? ive been smelling fuel last couple days...
  21. Just to get things straight, the thin metal flakes WERE caused because i switched to ITG correct? and i have a stage 4 g60 with a front mount intercooler, should i still go back to standard airbox? thanks
  22. alright thanks guys looks like im going back to KnN
  23. so i had a Huge KnN filter with a big Tube that i switched for a smaller ITG filter with thinner tube from Eurosport now my Supercharger is making a different noise, is this normal? it doesnt necisseraly sound bad its just a deeper sort of tack tack tack noise, and also now i have thin pieces of metal flying out of the belt n pulley area, any connection?? i can post pics later if needed, thanks guys
  24. thanks guys turns out i just had them in the wrong order... :brickwall: now car starts and idles fine, well sorta, still got to fix my (ignition?) problem, feel free to help! >>> viewtopic.php?f=17&t=83034
