  1. Ok heres the facts: if i let it sit overnight and start it in the morning it will usually start right up nice and strong no problems. but if i drive it around then let it sit for some hours and try starting it again i turn the key and NOTHING happens at all it wont even try to start, so i switch it to off and try again and usually it will start right up after 2nd try. there are some times where i have to try it up to 5 times to get it to start. my car never really struggles to start (rarely struggles) usually it either starts or it doesnt. i know my alternator and spark plugs are good (1 plug has oil around it) i believe my battery is good but it was a cheap ($60) interstate battery. my fan is wired to turn on while key is in on position and it runs strong as do my lights so no signs that my battery is low. not sure on my starter or ignition. so what is the deal???? help really appreciated..
  2. idk if this will help but the spark plug wires came off another 90 g60, but they were red, not sure what brand
  3. So i switched my spark plug wires today and now my C Hesitates when i try to start it and wont stay on, i switched back to my old ones (which worked fine) and same thing. the car wont stay on i turn the key and its trying and trying it gets up to 1000x rpms but as soon as i let go of the key it dies. help??? car started fine before.
  4. oops sorry lol im new to the forums as you can tell, im probably getting the car tomorow, if so il post it up for parts asap. thanks
  5. haha how much would you pay for the interior? it will be for sale if i buy the car  and yeah the guy said the body was straight but it had a salvage title? hmm oh well im not going to be driving it around it will be a parts car, and can anyone tell me the name of the bumper on it? is it the lip attachment? thanks!
  6. Hey guys, so i was lookin around the other day and i saw a 90 g60 for sale near my area, the guy wanted to part it out but didnt know how so decided to sell it as a whole. He says he bought it for $3000 but wants $2000 for it. I talked him down to $1200  he said the car has no spark so it doesnt start, but that it ran great before. He also said it had a Bahn Brenner Fuel Rail installed. The body is in good shape, SO should i buy it?? i could use some parts off it (fuel rail speaker grille, driver seat, turn signals, front bumper, maybe headlights, speedo, temp sensor, hood realease, little things etc.) and could i part it out on here or VWVORTEX and make some money off of it?? i believe i could easily make my 1200 back. what do you guys think yes or no??? Under what cicumstances should i NOT buy it? Thanks in Advance!! heres some pics of it
  7. Not sure what intercooler i have, but it works really well, im running 12psi and charger runs cool
  8. Carbon Canister good idea, ill get on that soon, anything else? and yes i suppose hiding them could work too, i only just want to simplify my engine bay is all
  9. Vacuum leak somewhere maybe? the idle symptoms happened to me when i had a leak on the small hose behind my ISV
  10. So basically i would like to know what parts i could remove from my G60 that would make my engine bay look cleaner, for example stuff like power steering, cruise control, washer fluid, etc stuff like that, and maybe tips n advice on how to remove it, thanks!
  11. So ever since i got my C, the doors never closed correctly, they close, but you have to slam them with quite some force for them to close properly, otherwise they just half close ya know. so is this just cuz my car is old (90 g60) or do i have to lubricate something on the doors to make them close easier? same with my hatch lock, sometimes the key will turn, sometimes it wont, sometimes it will open, sometimes it wont :mad2:
  12. No problems with the ISV, although one day i was at a red light when suddenly my cars idle started revving a little every 2 seconds, the guy next to me thought i wanted to race him ( civic  ) but turned out the vacuum hose behind the isv had a tear in it, just replaced it and it was good as new
  13. thats true, buying another C would mean possibly new problems, and as for the 90mm lip, you cant really see in the pic but the front mount intercooler is actually pretty big so it comes out from under the bumper, i actually have a pic i will post here. i dont really like what it looks like so if i do decide to keep it (which i think you guys convinced me to  ) then i will end up getting a smaller intercooler and possibly new bumper. Thanks again for all the replies! intercooler yes i know it looks like its being held in place by the lower bumper part but i assure you its not lol and heres an old pic of the engine bay
  14. I know in the end its up to me, but i just wanted to get some input from you guys. i bought my first corrado around this time last year for $3200.00.Never had any serious problems with it, its a 1990 G60 Stage 4, front mount intercooler, black leather, 15k on rebuilt engine and charger, BOV, H&R lowered, 17s, and as for the bad, well it has 196xxx on the body (this scares me), could use new paint along with some dent removing, hood release is half broken, and the ignition switch is acting up. SO my point is should i go all out on this one and Restore it as much as possible ( lookswise ) OR should i sell it and get me a Vr6 or another G60 with lower miles, what would you do if you were in my position? HELPPP!! i only have 1 pic of it on this computer but can upload more later, engine bay is really clean except for an electrical mess done by PO.
