Welcome along. I used to drive past this quite a lot. Didn't look too bad but then again, I guess it won't when passing it at 30mph :D

Morning All, Right, where to start.... The car has been running rough since I went through a puddle and it cut out. Got it running and went home (about 30 miles) Started it on Friday and it ran up fine, took it up the road and it stopped. When I inspected it the metal pick up had come off the rotor arm (!!). I had a spare so I put that on and set off back home, only just getting there as it was spluttering like mad. Today I have gone out and there is no spark coming from the coil. I have replaced the coil (always have to have a few spares) and checked the fuses but nothing seems to be out of order. Can someone be able to shed any light on this??? Thanks in advance, Andy

Evening Everyone. Having some running issues at the mo and (I hope) I've narrowed it down to perished injector seals :( I've done a quick search but not been successful in finding an answer. Does anyone know the part number and supplier of injector seals for the 2.0l 16v?? Cheers in advance, Andy

Hi Andy, Thanks for looking into the postage. Could I put a cheeky bid of £45 posted then for the lights? :) Thanks again, Andy -

How much posted to SK17 please Thanks, Andy -
Sorry dude..............my bad :( Must have been the angle that threw me out :(

Not to sound too critical but I think the front tyre is a different profile to the rear?

Another thing I forgot to mention was the exchange of the power steering reservoir. The original does stick out quite a bit and it just so happened I had a spare one from a Mk4 golf (?) I made a mounting bracket out of some 3mm 304 stainless And then fitted the new reservoir :) Just tidied the bay up a bit more

Mine tipped over the 160,000 today. Forgot to get a pic of it though :(

This is how mine is. It's a noticeable difference to my old 2.0 16v. Along with some cams, the 50mm inlet, a pipercross panel filter, Jetex stainless exhaust complete with 4 branch and it's a little flyer :)

Thanks, hoping to be moving house soon to get a garage so I can really go to town with it this winter :)

It's the same on a lot of forums thanks to the likes of FB.

Hi, Mine returns about 35 - 37 mpg when I'm on the commute but I need to sort my fuelling as it's running rich at the mo. My previous one used to be over 40mpg most of the time. Most engine components are reasonably cheap to replace, it's the bodywork that can be expensive for panels. Make sure you get one that has been well maintained, I bought one that had been in storage for a couple of years and it has given me headaches. I use mine daily and now I have sorted the issues, it's as reliable as any other car. They're great cars to drive :)

It was a bit of a faff but it did look OK, still got it in the shed if I ever feel like I want a change again :) Some more bits I didn't mention first time. Blacked the roof lining. The parcel shelf had the 6x9's cut into it. So I ripped those out, made a blanking panel for the rear of it and re-covered it. I also replaced the 6x4's in the rear as they were past their best...

Lots of cuts in the back of it mate and plenty of screws to reform the splitter [emoji106]

Thanks Chris. Yeah, these pics were taken off FB as my camera skills are slim to none [emoji23]. Think the wheels will be for sale soon as I want to give it a change for next year but not sure what I want to put on it [emoji53]

Thanks again :) Always regretted selling my last one so this one will be a keeper. Hoping to get a few bodywork mods done and maybe get the surrounding bay smoothed. Doesn't help having to run it as a daily :(

Some recent pics that kind people have taken during show season :) There is a Cupra splitter fitted on at the Mo. Samthegram gave me the tip as I destroyed mine at all-types show. Now have a standard one again

Cheers, yeah, I really like the stealth front too. The bracket.................I was lost for words :D

Then things started going wrong with the engine.... 1st, the starter motor went 2nd, bad earths left me stranded whilst coming home from work. Had to be recovered. 3rd, the oil cooler failed, filling the water system with oil. 4th, the hoses were rotten, when you squeezed one, it split 5th, the clutch slave cylinder failed on me just as I got back from a day out 6th, the HT leads were perished and were arcing 7th, dizzy had to be replaced. This made me decide to clean all the engine bay up. How it was when I got the car... I moved the washer bottle into the boot... Then bought a battery tray, secured a false floor and enclosed the battery into the boot (no pics yet) This is how the engine is now currently... Missed out loads so I'll add those on when I get round to sorting the pics :) Andy

Fortunately it passed with only a couple of advisories. one being the front top mounts which I have replaced................along with the original coilovers as they were pooped. Got some all red rears from here and popped them on... Put some lamin-x on the front to give it a moody look... The Brock B1's are 9j all round Then I decided the front bumper would look better without the numberplate in it so off it went to the body shop...
