  1. its no different to how it was with the standard back box on it.. looks like the standard back box is just a resonator rather than a silencer, but it pops and spits out a tiny flane when you blip the throttle at about 5-6k RPM
  2. its on 215/35/18. not too much rubbing.. only on full lock and if driven really hard
  3. cheers. grill is a mk2 golf one cut to fit i did the front bumper with expanding foam and plastic filler. hasnt cracked yet so fingers crossed  front running venom -80mm springs on standard dampers but its dropped the car about 100mm rear is runnung cut down venom -80mm springs like your front lights.. how much am i lookin at to get the lamps? is it a big job to fit them?
  4. cheers.. forgot to say, ive removed the rear wiper and side rubbing strips too, cleaned the lines up of it, looks alot smoother now.. lights look smart on ur vr too mate. i want some wen funds allow
  5. it was only 250 all in off the dvla website, they are the cheapest to buy from by the looks of things....B4LLY? hehe :D
  6. no.. its just had a good polish. done the bumper with aerosols for now until i deciede what to do with it.. ill have another play on the weekend and see how she looks then
  7. not too bad cheers. dont think ill be needin that back box anymore bud, check out the pics. bought a private plate too!!!!!
  8. some more pics..what do we think of the front bumper?? dunno if i like it, might fill the no plate recess too. fitted a scorpion exhaust off my bros R1.. oh, and lowered it a little more on the rear!!! let me know what you think please boys and girls :?

  10. ok bud.. make sure ive got first refusal on that exhaust! :D
  11. yes mate. finished it last night. after removong the dash n replacing the matrix, changing the thermostat and the waterpump (w.pump needed doing anyway) it was that little alloy 'T' piece had blocked up. sorted now, just got to finish fittin the dash today. what back box did u get, was it the one off here (letterbox upsweep style) what make is it cos i want one for mine, that will look sweet
  12. sorry mate, not yet.been bust re-fitting the dash this week. promise ill do some pics on the w.end and post em on monday. hows yours doin?
  13. changed the thermostat.. changed the water pump, changed the matrix, all the flaps are working correctly in the heater unit, i have my suspisions about that 'T' piece thing but dont know what it does thus dunno how to test it to see if its working... help, the cold mornings have started already in sunny wales!!!!!!
  14. it took me a day to even find the fuse box! was lookin all over the place for the thing lol
  15. how low you gone for then? should be fine with it nice and low bud. nothing underneath catches on mine (unlike the old rs, exhaust used to catch on everything) only the front spoiler catches on the meanest of speed ramps :? .. lower it till it scrapes, then another 2 inches for good measure
  16. my heater is not getting hot, it gets warm for about a minute then is stone cold. i changed the matrix which i assumed was blocked, but it wasn't!!! i'm wondering if that alloy 'T' piece is for on the pipe entering the matrix, looks like a non-return or something? its in the engine bay by the way, any ideas as winter is coming, the water is getting hot by the way cheers
  17. ive done it on my mk1 golf, if you get a rad from an early golf 1.6, its sth same size as the one on my 1.8 16v corrado, and the pipe outlets are the same on the rad. i blanked off the pipe running from the bottom of the bottle and never have any issues with overheating etc. hope this helps!!
  18. springs? minus 120mm or i won't be impressed!! hehe
  19. alright bally.. im finishin half day in work today so ill (cough) borrow(cough) the works digi camera and take some pics for ya today.. post them tomorrow. just need to put the dash back in now, been drivin it without for 4 days now!
  20. E38? please dont get me started on that. my c was bein a naughty girl. heater wasnt workin so i took the dash out n replaced the matrix on fri.. still no heat. noticed the water pump was leaking so changed that sat (when i was meant to be on my way down) then as i was refitting the hoses to the pump, noticed a split in the hose caused by the hose clip so couldnt get down there. gutted cos i lowered the back for the show. u cant see the top of the tyre on the back now! 8) now it doesnt catch the front spoiler on speed bumps so lowering the back will help with clerance at the front!
  21. black smoke usually indicates over fuelling doesnt it? if the airflow meter is goosed and telling the ecu the engine is on full throttle it will over fuel. happened to my mates cav turbo. ran fine on full throttle but wouldnt tick over due to the over fueling :?
  22. hiya mate.. long time no see. hehe.. if i were u id give venom a ring and ask them nicely if they will sell u 60mm fronts and 80mm rears. the back always seems high, even on my 80mm kit the back wasn't really low, but with the stereo in mine it dropped it quite alot.. thats what i would go for anyway :D
  23. i went from a modded ford too. only bought the c to sell on, but ended up selling the rs turbo instead. just need a tuned g60 motor for mine  now to make up for the lack of power!
  24. lets get some piccies of it .. come on before the work starts. im always gutted wen i dont take 'before' pics of a project, especially when it turns out really well, so lets see it
